An aside... while thinking about this image I learned
that we possess a tiny crystal of magnetite in the ethmoid bone, located between the eyes, just behind the nose.
Magnetite is a magnetic mineral
also possessed by homing pigeons,
migratory salmon, dolphins, honeybees, bats...
Perhaps the sense behind following one's nose ;-)
I bring my body to rest
letting it drift,
allowing myself to watch the collage of words
the noise
the voices , foreign and brash,
drown & fade,
all that does not belong
to this minute,
this moment,
where I find myself ,
just another supple reed .
I lose my name,
while I dissolve in the warm cradle ,
a gentle nothingness .

... It's very hot the past few days in the Netherlands, so for lots of dogs that means swimtime. Drift goes swimming the whole year, in winter too. He's like an all-terraine dog, got an all-weather coat and his engine goes in full gear, and he's loving it :) ...
