Out with the walking group today on a day which was notable for the no. and the longevity of rainbows.

This is a 3 (vertical) shot panorama on my little Sony - I totally forgot that my i-phone 6 has a panorama function!

A double full rainbow..and the wish for a fisheye to capture it ;o))

Photo taken July 14, 2022

Just a hint but so pretty to see. Enjoy!

Yesterday after the dessert at my Brother in laws home even though it was cloudy one one end the Sun was setting and on the other end we got this double rainbow.

I want to thank my iPhone for being handy :)

... rainbows are better than one ... just a few moments after my previous shot ... !

21 July 2015, 8:22 PM (Official Sunset), Blairstown, New Jersey - The most amazing rainbow in some time! As seen from the backyard, the rainbow was so big I needed the pano feature on my phone or PS stitched together shots to get it all in. See the first comment for the full story on the 10 minutes of total amazement. Processed a bit for white balance, foreground exposure, added some drama in the clouds via an HDR layer blend and some texture to hide the noise.

Happy Slider Sunday, HSS!

Raining and cloudy, driving along the local high way, all of sudden appeared the double rainbow, I was shocked by the nature miracle… luckily I had my camera with me, and wide lens... the double rainbow disappeared in 10 minutes…

It's Sunday and I wish you all a beautiful day, one filled with joy and colors!

This was taken on the Argentina side inside the Iguazu National Park, we were given many hours to walk the path along the falls. For some strange reason I had such a hard time getting good photos on this 2nd day in Iguazu Falls. Among all the photos I took, only two made the cut. I know this one is not that good, but the double rainbow should make up for some of the lacks, or so I hope. (The other photos which I have posted so far on Iguazu Falls were taken on Day 1, from the Brazilian side.)

As with our current weather condition, the sky is still gray, a bit more rain is expected, though the lake's water level has dropped by about a foot, so that's a good sign.

I had packed my kit and was heading home due to a heavy downpour, but after a few minutes drive this 'symbol of transformation' appeared so I rushed down to the shore, the reverse colours of the rainbows just showing.

...made up of tears and light.

This incredible double rainbow came into view as we were headed down from our remote cottage that was the highest dwelling in Wales.

Please take a minute to press L and view in large!

There two rainbows in the sky!!

A double rainbow over the channel between the Isles of Raasay and Skye, UK.

Brings a whole new aspect to the line from the famous Skye Boat song 'Over the sea to Skye'.

You must look closely for the second one. One day we had intermittent rains and rainbows.

A double Rainbow stretching between the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Raasay. We happened to be on the ferry at exactly the right time to catch it.

Quite literally it was 'Over the Sea to Skye'

Skógafoss creates a double rainbow. This is one of many waterfalls on the South Coast of Iceland. I took the first one down because the data was missing. #Skógafoss #Iceland #waterfall #DoubleRainbow

A nice and Very colourful double rainbow

Rainbows over Mono Lake has to be one of the coolest things I have ever seen or photographed. I had a hunch we were in for something special as I drove south from Bridgeport that afternoon. What I wasn't sure about was whether or not it was going to start to pour on us or not and ruin the opportunity. While it did rain on me some, it never came down in torrents of water and there was still enough sunlight coming through that these double rainbows were formed over the lake.

As promised, here is the other shot taken at the same time as my last upload. This one is looking east, the other is looking north.

I'm trying to catch up with the commenting but Flickr has awful hiccups right now :-((

The moment when the rainbow started coming full swing while we were visiting the Cairngorms this weekend.

Der Punkt links neben dem Regenbogen ist das Flugzeug, dessen ID ich gerne wüsste.

The point to the left of the rainbow is the plane whose ID I would like to know.

A rainbow graces the Pacific coast in Oregon.

On Sunday it was 31C on Bluebird Estates and yes, the light was indeed unusual.

In the foreground you can see that our two wild Canada Geese families are growing up fast. By the end of July they will have left our acreage. In early autumn they will prepare for the long flight to the south.

It was raining on the North-West side of my office and sunny on its South-East side. So I ran to the emergency staircase and there was this fantastic double rainbow, extending well over North-East to East and covering the Crossing Stadium, part of Josaphat Park and, hardly visible in the distant haze, the whole area of Brussels Airport.

Double rainbow over the Old Las Vegas Highway near Santa Fe, New Mexico

Last Saturday while we were sitting in our studio all of a sudden we heard this thunderous rain on our roof and after a while, when the noise died I looked out of the window and this was what I saw :)

Brought out the colors of an evening after a rain, the double rainbow needed a little help coming out.

The view from Traceys' balcony on the 2nd last night of my stay...seems to sum my trip up perfectly.

I'm home and almost over the jet lag, doing my best to catch up with your streams whilst trawling through six weeks of images...:)

We had a fabulous double rainbow one evening this week. The light was glorious. I’ve processed this image of it for Sliders Sunday.

Back from our halfterm holiday in South Devon and a fantastic day walking along the coast. About 2 min or so away from the car, on our way back, sunshine turned into hail and we were completely drenched. However, very soon after a spectacular double rainbow appeared over the bay, framing the lost village of Hallsands. At the start of the 20th century many houses of the village were destroyed by storms, the ruins of some of the remaining houses can be seen along the cliffs.

A double-blessed cabin, caught between two rainbows after a storm blows through. There was a sense and feeling of enchantment here.

Stormy weather can provide good fortune for us photographers, if one doesn't mind a little rain. OK, sometimes a lot of rain....

Your comments, faves and support are always appreciated!

May your Sunday be filled with many blessings and good fortune.
