I live near this point. I pass it often, and each time I think it might make a nice photo someday. On this stormy day, the visibility was poor, and the sun was hidden until I reached this spot and the light came out to illuminate the lake on both sides of the point. That and the flag made this the day!
CN M376 rolls past Dorval VIA Station in Dorval, QC. The train is led by CN ES44AC #3926, an Ex-Citirail (CREX) Leaser that was bought by CN earlier this year.
Passengers board a Toronto-bound Corridor train at Dorval, QC behind a handsome F40 in some beautiful afternoon sunshine.
CN 321 is passing CN 271 (which uncommonly has intermodal up front) at Dorval. Once CN 321 has cleared, CN 271 will follow it westwards on a snowy day.
VIA 67 is departing Dorval after picking up a healthy load of passengers. VIA 6418 leads six LRC cars.
VIA P42DC #900 serves as the trailing locomotive on VIA 62 with VIA F40PH-2D #6408 leading as it departs Dorval for Montréal on a chilly afternoon.
Photo of Dorval Airport hangers in 1946 in Montreal Quebec. My uncle Harry Bowrin used to operate heavy equipment. He may have been working at the airport. A note on the photo says that the cement was being broken up and replaced.
Train 24 starts to pull out of Dorval station and past the search light signals that stand guard here. I noticed a lot of work going on to replace a large amount of the search lights going west out of Montreal and then again some search lights seem to have been updated with LED's and possibly reworked.
VIA 912 brings up the rear of a combined VIA 63 and VIA 633 as it leaves Dorval Station. CN 322 is heading east on the north track at right.
CP 4559, I believe a M630, rolls through Dorval, Quebec with what appears to be a sister unit flying the white flags of an extra. On the adjacent track is a CN manifest with three 3 GP40W-2s. As I recall this was a great place to watch trains, although on my visit it was cloudy and rainy, but lots of action.
An Air Creebec Beechcraft BEH 1900D lands at YUL. One of my favorite small planes to fly in.

Photo: A 1994 built BEH-1900D flying with North American indian own airline Air Creebec named aftere the Quebec Cree Indian tribe. This is a rugged popular small capacity regional plane used widely on very short hops out of major airports around the world. It's noisy, small, actually pleasant inside, has very large passenger windows and barrels down the runway like a bat out of hell.. you get a real sense of "flying" when you take one of these planes.
VIA 67 with dirty VIA 6436 leading is departing Dorval as EXO 61 with AMT 1358 shoving gets ready to head west as well.
VIA 67 is making its station stop at Dorval with VIA 909 and four HEP cars in its consist. Quite a large number of passengers are boarding here, an encouraging sign. VIA has also increased the number of trains running in the Montreal-Toronto corridor and is rumoured to be increasing the frequency again in the near future.

VIA train 62 heads east toward Dorval and, eventually, Montreal. A cab car brings up the rear of this matched set. Amtrak's Airo equipment, currently on order, will have a similar appearance and configuration.
EXO 53 led by Bombardier Multilevel #3015 flies into the Dorval EXO Station along the CP Vaudreuil Subdivision in Dorval, QC just west of Montréal.
Ma première Chouette rayée à vie grâce à mes amis Serge & Carole Forcier qui m'ont indiqué l'endroit et même qu'ils m'ont attendu sur place pour être certain que je la trouve... C'est dans un espace qui malheureusement va disparaître au profit du développement industriel le Technoparc de Dorval adjacent aux piste de l'aéroport Pierre Éliot Trudeau. Je suis arrivé à Montréal tard en après-midi et le temps était très nuageux donc un luminosite limité.
My first Barred Owl of my life thanks to my friends Serge & Carole Forcier who told me the exact place to find it, they even waited on the spot to be certain that I would find it ... It is in a area that unfortunately will disappear to the benefit Of the industrial development the Dorval Technoparc adjacent to the runway of the Pierre Éliot Trudeau airport. I arrived in Montreal late in the afternoon and the weather was very cloudy so a limited brightness.
MUCTC (Montreal Urban Community Transportation Commission) 1305 heads west through Dorval, Quebec.
1305 is a Canadian built FP7A, built 1952 and a former Canadian Pacific unit.

I landed in Montreal today. Its December so I figured there would be snow. Nope. Only rain and ice. I took this photo from my sisters balcony. Its well below freezing here. Multiple exposure made me cringe from the cold air outside. But I am glad to be here. Looking forward to enjoying Christmas with the family.

In the Montreal borough (suburb) of Dorval. I'm not saying this is the proper way to do kayaking. Actually I'm not even sure these are proper kayaks. They were some distance off and I didn't get a close look. This was a telephoto shot at maximum zoom in my Panasonic. They don't look like traditional kayaks. And don't ask me what they were doing.
