Looking down at the debating chamber of the Bundestag, the german parliament from the spiral walkway in the dome.
The mirrored cone in the center of the dome directs sunlight into the building, and so that visitors can see the working of the chamber.

A dome in London's shopping mall.
Stars and blue sky beyond the dome make a look-up very worthwhile.
you are now in the heart of sprouts that grow
in the most distant calculations
you are such a sadness
sprouting at the helm of the ships you burn
causing poisons
Framed this shot during my trip to Yosemite during the 1st major snow storm this winter, back in November.
This shot has always eluded me with conditions turning out to be really bad at every attempt. I am happy that I finally bagged this shot. This is indeed one of my favorite vistas in the valley, surprisingly ever so less visited by tourists.
At the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, the Tropical Display Dome is a large lattice structure (geodesic) displaying plants from the tropics.
A pathway winds upwards through the dome building, wrapping around a central pond with water plants. This path leads visitors past a range of shrubs, climbers, epiphytes and small trees.
The dome provides a climate close to the natural growing conditions for plants that wouldn't normally grow in Brisbane.
Ceiling inside les Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
In October 1912, the new store’s inauguration was a major event. The store’s 5 floors, balconies and glass dome were advertised all over Paris, the provinces and even globally as pure refinement. Inspired by a neo-Byzantine style, the 33-meter high glass dome comprises of 10 painted windows encapsulated in rich metallic frames and decorated in a sculpted floral motif.
As I start to plan the adventures of 2020, I wanted to go back and re-edit an image of Half Dome in Yosemite NP from 2015. I shot this with my first Canon SLR the 60d.
I reworked the image in Lightroom and Silver EFX. I wanted to bring out the incredible textures in the granite wall. Back then composition wasn't as important as just being in the moment. As I look back on this one, I think I got lucky with the tall pine trees below and the wonderful cloud action that day around the dome. Ansel Adams is one of my favorite photographers for many reasons. First and foremost because of his love for Yosemite. I’ve read a few books about him and his love for the outdoors. Currently, Yosemite is my favorite National Park. What are yours?
I hoping to cross off Zion, Bryce, Yellowstone, and Glacier NP off the list this year. One of my favorite photographers, William McIntosh, said his favorite is Glacier NP so I’m really amped up about it.
Happy New Year to everyone out there.
