Are dogmas unnecessary?
The adequacy of dogmas depends on whether they claim to formulate or to allude; in the first case they flaunt and fail, in the second they indicate and illumine. To be adequate they must retain a telescopic relation to the theme in which they refer, must point to the mysteries of God rather than picture them. All they can do is indicate a way, not mark and end, of thinking. Unless they serve as humble signposts on the way dogmas are obstacles...
...Unless we realize that dogmas are tentative rather then final, that they are accommodations rather than definitions, intimations rather than descriptions; unless we learn how to share the moment and the insight to which they are trying to testify, we stand guilty of literalmindedness, of pretending to know what cannot be put into words; we are guilty of intellectual idolatry. Trinity - in Christianity, three Persons of one God in essence. Despite monotheism, Christianity in its central dogma understands God as one in three hypostases (faces): God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The term "Trinity" was first attested by the Syrian bishop Theophilus of Antioch (2nd century).
The term "Trinity" is absent from the texts of the books of the Old and New Testaments; the Church's teaching on the Trinity is the fruit of Christology, that is, the teaching about Jesus Christ as the God-man, and appears in the works of the Holy Fathers and Teachers of the Church. The term "Trinity" was first used in Christian theology in the 2nd century by Saint Theophilus of Antioch in his work "Against Autolycus". By the middle of the 4th century, after the rejection of a number of heresies and thanks to the works of the Cappadocian Fathers Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, Gregory of Nyssa, the Church had developed a unified Trinitarian terminology.

Незважаючи на монотеїзм, християнство у своєму центральному догматі розуміє Бога єдиним у трьох іпостасях (ликах): Бог Отець, Бог Син і Бог Дух Святий. Вперше термін «Трійця» засвідчений у сирійського єпископа Феофіла Антіохійського (ІІ століття).
Термін «Трійця» відсутнїй у текстах книг Старого та Нового Завітів; вчення Церкви про Трійцю є плід христології, тобто вчення про Ісуса Христа як Боголюдину, і з'являється у працях святих Отців і Вчителів Церкви.
Вперше у християнському богослов'ї термін «Трійця» вжив у II столітті святий Феофіл Антіохійський у своєму творі «Проти Автолика». До середини IV століття, після заперечення низки єресей і завдяки працям отців-каппадокійців Василя Великого, Григорія Богослова, Григорія Ніського, Церквою було вироблено єдину тринітарну термінологію.

My apologies for disappearing for a month. Work came a calling. August is the busiest month of the year for a pet sitter.
Anyway... meet Lulu the goldendoodle! She's about 12 weeks old and a new client.
When she stuck her head thru the pillars I about jumped for joy! She's not stuck or anything. She popped her head thru there about five times very easily. Sliding in and out like a piece of dental floss. =))
She is the sweetest little puppy! I took a ton of shots of her. And get this... THERE'S TWO OF THEM!!! Her sister Lana is coming up next. So cute, the both of them! Lana is slightly bigger and slightly darker.
I am having so much fun with them!
I’m having a mini love affair with Penelope the Italian greyhound. She is so sweet! Great personality! And now she’s learning to pose for me. You can see why I love her. :-)

If you say the word, "vaccine," in the United States today, many of us will turn off our thinking brain and revert to slogans we read on social media.
When you see a compound femur fracture, you recognize the harm. There's a bone fragment sticking out of this person's leg. It may be less visible but people who treat infectious diseases know the harm caused. They see patients every day who would have been better off if they had not contracted the disease. Medical treatment costs money. There's lost productivity. There are medical bankrupcies. Poor management of infectious disease is expensive. Indirectly, we all pay for these costs.
I claim, vaccine availability is part of a road that leads from developing country status to industrialized nation status. On the developing country side, where vacines cannot be had, you face higher mortality rates. Your grandchildren will die preventable deaths. We'll miss them a lot. They won't grow up to be friends and to be the great talents who solve our nation's problems. On the industrialized side, fewer grandchildren die. If you willfully go to the developing country side, it's an uphill battle to get back to 2024.
