Photographed while exploring with Anynn, Collun, Daniel, NJ, and Yu-san. East 24th Avenue, Vancouver. October 2, 2016.

54 Years and counting (all original).

Just the car and some rocks (without the added reflection).

So, Cindy took the Charger out the other day for a little fresh air. ;-)

I love the art and design from Oblivion. This is Sky Tower 49 from the movie with my small and predictable addition.

The amazing digital artist who did the original image can be found here.

Spent a few hours watching Barrett-Jackson today. Got inspired.

With sincere apologies to Scottish artist Jack Vettriano and his masterpiece "The Singing Butler", I've been wanting to do this one for a while. :-)

You know, when you're going that for perfect Shot... ;-)

Well, that's not what's going on here. It's just some "trompe l'oeil" aka (to fool the eye) to sharpen my digital editing skills. I know that in 38 years I've taken it on some truly amazing adventures but I'm pretty sure I've never taken the Charger quite this far off road.

Taken at a car show in Munfordville Kentucky have a nice day.

Thank you all for your visits comments and faves much appreciated!

I took this photo of the late afternoon sky while standing in my front yard a few summers ago but I had never figured out how to use it, until now.

Happy Valentine's Day. :-)

The Charger...

.

The 1969 Dodge Charger. This shot is of the lovingly restored and modified 70's muscle car...It has been difficult not getting to go to car shows and other public gatherings for the better part of a year now since Covid19 changed our lives for what seems like forever. In September of 2017 i spent the afternoon at the Powerade center for the annual prostate cancer awareness car show... this weekend. the parking lots were stacked and packed full of old classics, collectors editions and unbelievable classic relics from the not too distant past. what a great cause and a super turnout. I cannot wait till things return to somewhat normal again. .

Thank you for visiting for marking my photo as a favourite and for the kind comments,..

If I had my choice of how to float across a river of clouds to the sun.

An homage to one of my favorite bands.

Pink Floyd - The Endless River

This is a re-edit of a photo I took in 2012. Looking back, it was a perfect evening and I really liked the original but I wanted to see if I could make the car literally jump out of the picture, color, clarity, and contrast-wise (without touching the background). My editing skills have improved quite a bit in the last 4 years so I took a shot at it. I think it turned out pretty decent.

Again, with sincere apologies to Scottish artist Jack Vettriano, I present his work "The Billy Boys" with a slight and somewhat predictable addition.

With Reflection - Last One in the Series.

Michael Kohl came all the way from Kalispell, MT. in his green 1968 Charger to attend an "All Charger" meet here in Spokane. Before he headed back we went to one of my favorite spots and took a few pictures. It was a fun and spontaneous shoot.

I had no idea that Jack Vettriano was a Mopar fan!

Happy New Year! :- D

With deep and sincere apologies to Leonardo da Vinci and his masterwork, an imaging of the real reason the Mona Lisa was smiling.

This one is in response to a challenge by my older brother to fit "the Mona Lisa" into one of my photos.

I'm pretty sure I've gone too far this time. ;-)

The Mona Lisa

Personally, I’m more biased towards the ‘69-70 Chargers, but the ‘71-72 models resonates with me just as much. I remember seeing these when I was little (these were manufactured before my time), and I was always infatuated with the muscle cars of the 60s and 70s, and the stories that owners of these vehicles have to tell are mesmerizing to say the very least. I was also more biased towards Plymouth in my younger days (my first two cars were from Plymouth), but the legacy the Charger has remains indescribable, at least to me. Again, I don’t know why, but these particular Chargers were just as drawn to me as their predecessors.

Same car, same spot, many years gone by.

Dodge Charger "SCATPACK"

A simple side view on a black background (with added reflection).

While on a wildfire with my team in Southern Oregon, I did a new edit on a photo I had taken in 2012. Considering I had just a few minutes each day to work on it over the 14 day assignment I think it turned out pretty sweet. Heading home on Tuesday! :-)

A confluence of design, crop, sunlight, and shadow. :- )

Car Show (Oklahoma)

I took this picture of Cory and Erin at the Utah Pink Sand Dunes State Park in 2013 on our Grand Circle tour and with all the Supermoon talk in November I thought, "Hey, why not..."

A slight re-work of a favorite from a few years ago as an homage of sorts to the newest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Called F9, it features Dom driving yet another Charger, this one a hand made 1968 mid-mounted engine variant. The studio isn't sharing much about the car yet but I'm sure it will be a lot of fun to watch.

A quick check on the IMCDB (Internet Movie Cars Database) reveals that 2nd Generation Chargers (1968, 69, and 70's) have been featured on (movies, tv series, commercials, and music videos) something north of 300 times. Not too bad. ;- )

I'm really looking forward to seeing it! (and getting back to seeing more movies in general) :- D

1968 Dodge Charger Series XP Model XP29 2-door Hardtop

Making lemonade out of lemons here. I was trying to capture the car with the Strawberry Moon in the background but the image was too dark, so decided to have some fun with it and here is the result. It turned out pretty nice. :-)

A study in tone, lighting, composition, and color. Same comfortable subject, always learning and stretching.

I haven't done it yet but I can just imagine taking the Charger on this epic road trip. Heading south into Monument Valley, U.S. Route 163 is definitely the stuff dreams are made of. It's endless vistas, sweeping turns, and long stretches would definitely give me (and the Charger's 150 MPH speedometer) a full workout. It would be incredible.

Monument Valley

A bit of a digital styling exercise. Chopped and Dropped.

It was interesting to see how even though I digitally trimmed 3 or 4 inches (guessing here) off of the height of the roof and re-shaped the wing window frame, it still looks balanced and almost factory.

Taken at the Annual Scholarship Car Show held in downtown Spokane on Riverside Avenue (where I actually used to cruise as a teenager), this re-visit of an old shoot makes number three in the series.

It's June and I'm really pumped because some of the best car cruises of the summer are just around the corner. The Car d’Lane Cruise, my favorite, is held in nearby Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on the third Friday of June and there are two really good downtown Spokane shows coming up right after that.

Looks like I was in pretty good company.

The Car d’Lane Cruise is coming up Friday and I am looking forward to a fun cruise with the family and an opportunity for a few pics.

In the meantime, I have been wanting to at least try and "finish" this photograph for a very long time. I originally created a square avatar out of small portion out of it and it looked great but it had some major challenges as an entire photograph (if I showed you, you wouldn't believe it).

I could never quite figure out how to approach it until now and It took some work but I like the way it turned out. I was trying to duplicate the quality of the original cropped post and I think it went well.

James Best, actor from The Dukes of Hazzard, passed away on Monday. Rest in Peace Sheriff. I took this photo of the Dukes' 'General Lee' Dodge Charger on Friday at Wheels Day in Aldershot.

It's been a long time, it's a new year, and I was feeling a bit creative so here you go. A little parody on parody action with (my) parody of Gottfried Helnwein's parody "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" of the true classic "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper.
