It was supposed to rain all weekend, but now it looks like it won’t actually start storming until tomorrow. We hadn’t made a lot of plans for the weekend. Lu had some new water polo club engagements this morning, and Mack really didn’t have a whole lot on his docket. Feel like its the first, low-key weekend he’s had in months.
We took Otto for a longer walk this morning, then he got some more time for a Roblox event. Both of us wanted to get out of the house, so he opted for some time at the batting cages in Concord. Its nothing fancy, but he gets some reps. Probably about even cost wise as an evening at Triple Crown, only without the helpful coaching.
He’s doing better though. Needs to work on the intensity/speed of his swing, but im sure that will come if he keeps working at it.

Quackson was named as one of Your EDM’s 40 Artists to Watch in 2019, so we’re intensely happy to premiere his debut release on Dim Mak, the wild and chaotic “Run It.”
Lots of producers in 2018 got their start or rose to greater popularity by trying their hand at midtempo. Much like future bass in 2014 going into 2015, now those same producers are forced to innovate and evolve to stay ahead of the curve while would-be bandwagoners now hop on the trend.
Among those keeping their head above water is Quackson, whose “Run It” out today on Dim Mak is a beautiful example of staying true to your roots while giving fans something new. Deep, ominous vocals pair nicely with the blend of heavy bass, blurring the line between midtempo and dubstep. At over 4 minutes long, the track also has a lot of opportunity to switch gears and surprise you — as I’m sure it will.
“‘Run It’ is the culmination of some of my biggest influences, primarily half-time drum and bass and mid-tempo. I wanted to create a high-energy blend of the two genres with a lot of big synths and gnarly drums. I’m elated this is my first release of the year, and it’ll serve to be an awesome precursor to the wide variety of music I’ve got on the docket for 2019.” – Quackson
From start to finish, Quackson keeps you on your toes. Check out “Run It” below, out now on Dim Mak! The track is available as a free download through the label’s New Noise imprint.

via Tumblr bit.ly/17FLnTl via Tumblr bit.ly/14yaXM4 Life after Bankruptcy While going through bankruptcy is not something that anyone plans on, it is an opportunity to change some of the ways that you have done things in the past and make better decisions going forward. After you file either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 and are seeking a loan or credit, you may need to show your bankruptcy documents or records to put Lenders or Creditors at ease. Creditors or Lenders will want to see a bankruptcy petition to see what was included in your bankruptcy. They will probably also want to see your bankruptcy discharge to make sure that you finished your bankruptcy case and that you don’t owe on the debts anymore. Often when you need to be qualified to rent an apartment, a home, or finance a car or even to finance your next home you will be asked about your bankruptcy when you filed or when you received your discharge of your debts. Or you may need other documents for your special needs. With our Online Delivery service you will receive the Bankruptcy Documents you need FAST, EASY for a very nominal fee to process. Bankruptcy Documents Library Online Delivery service allows you to obtain the case and docket information from the federal appellate, district and bankruptcy courts pertaining to your personal bankruptcy records or documents. We use a national index for U.S. District, Bankruptcy, and Appellate courts to get you the information you need. If you need a copy of your personal Bankruptcy discharge so you can qualify for a car loan or maybe even a home loan our service will provide you exactly what you need, fast. Nothing to join, registration or long forms to fill out, just quality fast service. The purpose of bit.ly/1blwt8D website is to provide bankruptcy information as well as data about cases in U.S. federal courts with online delivery service to get you the information and details you need about your personal bankruptcy. Things you could not do before your bankruptcy may be possible now or after a little time has passed like buying a car after bankruptcy which may trigger you to ask the question “How do I get a car loan after bankruptcy?” Getting a mortgage after bankruptcy may be a choice if you have your bankruptcy documents on hand. Mortgages are a fact of life for most people because it is very difficult to finance yourself unless you are in the top 1% of our population. The same holds true for a car loan after bankruptcy as you will need to provide information about that event. A car loan after bankruptcy is available in a lot of situations because your bankruptcy has passed and you will need to be responsible again financially, for this new loan. Same with buying a house after bankruptcy because the lender and realtor will most likely want to know all the details of your bankruptcy, to complete the sale. After bankruptcy home loans are an important financial tool to help improve your quality of life. After bankruptcy home loans may also increase your satisfaction in your personal space or environment, at home. What about credit cards after bankruptcy because when used correctly, they can actually help you build higher credit scores, faster. Credit cards after bankruptcy are an invaluable tool to rebuild credit too. As your credit score rises your interest rate usually drops, which may make monthly payments less expensive if you carry a balance which is not recommended of course. Using a credit card after bankruptcy is smart if you do it right and pay off the balance every month and do not go back to bad habits that caused the bankruptcy in the first place. So if you are looking at going through bankruptcy, just remember that you will survive and there is life after bankruptcy. In fact, life after bankruptcy should be even better than life before bankruptcy if you focus on making changes in the right areas and staying away from the choices that got you there in the first place. Yes, there is life after bankruptcy! via Blogger bit.ly/14yarh3 via Flickr bit.ly/16CXrFP via Blogger bit.ly/13algYu

I only have 2 more days to use my city pass, and since it was totally free on account of we were supposed to be doing a research project that no one actually did (LOL), I decided that I would go to the second place on the docket, the zoo.
I couldn't breath. I literally could not breath because the heat and hummidity in the air was choaking me. This was not a good situation to be in, but I had a water bottle handy to try and combat dehydration issues. This was taken somewhere near the bear pavillion, one of the rare places with shade. This whole trip here was a bad idea. If not for my camera, I wouldn't have any memories of anything that happened here because my concentration went out the window. It reminded me so much of that trip my family took to Oklahoma which I seriously do not have good memories of. We'd been walking around all day long in the dead of summer and I told my dad who was standing next to me, I don't feel so good, and the next thing you know, I'd passed out on the sidewalk. I remember coming to in a nearby hotel with all these people looking down at me. I just can't take the heat and its getting brutal. Another day of 101 degrees on the thermometer. This is probably my last outdoor thing for a good long time. Not good for my health, and not worth it.

For the story of what has happened to the site since this photo was taken, see Part 32.
This detail shot is the second of a three-image sequence documenting the former prevalence (at least I hope it's former) of a highly invasive weed in this locale. Here we're closing in on the plant in question, Cypress Spurge (Euphorbia cyparissias). It's growing and blooming all too heartily in soil that is essentially just sand with a slight organic content.
Note that its floral bracts vary from lemon-yellow to a salmon color. It's all too clear why this was a favorite garden and graveyard planting in the nineteenth century. But would you believe me if I told you this low-growing species is a close relative of the Poinsettia? You should. It is. The latter's taxonomic docket is Euphorbia pulcherrima.
In the next post in this album, I'll focus on the fascinating floral anatomy of this and other members of the Spurge genus. For now, however, take a good look at the Cypress Spurge's narrow, almost needlelike foliage. Apparently someone thought that it's reminiscent of a true Cypress's leaves. But it's actually much more pinelike.
You'll find the other photos and descriptions of this series in my Botany of Illinois Beach State Park album.

Left: 1969 Ford Country Sedan re-creation of the "Wagon Queen Family Truckster"
Sold: $12,100.00
See listing pix and video: Lot 704
Barrett-Jackson: This 1969 Ford Country Sedan is a re-creation of the "Wagon Queen Family Truckster" seen in the 1983 film "National Lampoon's Vacation," starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo portraying Clark and Ellen Griswold. Chronicling the Griswold family's painful "family bonding" highway road trip, the film also starred one of the most visually challenged automotive monstrosities ever conceived - the "Wagon Queen Family Truckster." Styled similar to a Ford LTD station wagon, this vehicle is sometimes derided by some commentators as the real reason station wagons were cast aside for minivans in the 1980s. Garish and equipped with nearly every tacky luxury car cliche known to man at the time, the original Truckster was designed by George Barris. Five were created for the movie, primarily for the many horrendous stunts. Based on a proper Ford LTD station wagon and featuring painful (to some eyes) Pale Avocado paint, this faithfully executed replica of the "Wagon Queen Family Truckster" movie vehicle is equipped with a Ford big-block 390ci V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission. The full Family Truckster conversion included the faux wood-grain panels, identification logos and badges, as well as roof racks, "Aunt Edna" body, luggage and even plates from the fictional selling dealer, Lou Glutz Motors.
Center: 1973 Ford Econoline Four-Wheel-Drive Supervan
Sold: $68,200.00
Barrett-Jackson: The 1973 Ford Econoline four-wheel-drive supervan is built as a tribute to the van driven by the character Sonny Hayes (played by actor Brad Pitt) in the 2025 film "F1: The Movie." It is powered by a Ford 302 V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. It incorporates exterior and interior elements modeled after the production vehicle used onscreen, including the two-tone high-top configuration, accessory props and features associated with the film’s hero van. The four-wheel-drive setup mirrors the stance and capability depicted in the movie, and the exterior presentation includes the mounted surfboard and moto-style bike representative of the screen-used design. The interior has been finished in a camper-style layout consistent with the film reference, incorporating wood paneling, a fold-down bed, compact sink, mini fridge and racing-style decor to replicate the production van’s appearance. This tribute reflects the configuration of the primary movie van, one of four built for filming, with the hero vehicle displayed at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed and currently on loan to the Petersen Automotive Museum. All props shown with the van, including interior and exterior accessories and the Brad Pitt APXGP cutout, are included with the purchase.

Steve played a Christmas holiday winter concert at a beautiful Baptist church in Wakefield with the Middlesex Concert Band. (Normally I'm as against religion in the public square as any other red-blooded Northeastern liberal, but if you're holding a concert with a carol and Hallelujah chorus singalong and all Christmas music on the docket in a church for a church audience, methinks the designation as a "winter" concert might be a bit silly, n'est pas?)

First thing on the docket this morning, job interview. I went in knowing I'd land this job. Isn't that a strange feeling? Usually I'm a bit nervous at interviews, but this one was like go in, small talk, job offer. Basically I knew I had it, because I've already had it. I started at this place before I went into my last job and of course, having worked at my last job, it was like, how could you not hire me? But that's where the good news ends.
I'm going to have to turn it down. Even though the director offered me a position above the one I applied for based on my "excellent resume" (her words), the pay is no where near enough and the location is clear across town. It would take me a solid hour to get there and back each day and if anything went wrong with my car which is on its last leg anyway, it would take 3 busses just to get somewhere in the vicinity of the place and I don't know if I can handle taking 3 busses. One was hassle enough back in the day. It all leaves me frustrated once again. I knew going into this, the job search would be hard, but its gotten down right depressing. I'm sitting there in the room explaining to her that in between jobs, my focus has been my photography business, and as I'm saying this, she's asking for my card, and I'm thinking, that is what I truly want to do all day long. I want to get business and take photos, and not worry about a bus line, or lack of funds. I think part of the struggle is trying to find something that will mentally top working for myself, and so far, there has been little far and in between.
In other news, my roses are blooming again. Some times, on days like this, you do have to stop and smell the roses, and remind yourself that life can be beautiful if you let it.
