Okay, here's what you've all been waiting for. "Bryant Gold" on the body of the house, "Copper Clay" on the trim, and "Kendall Charcoal" as an accent. Our hearts are set on this color combination; if you don't like it, we don't want to hear about it..... The colors are true to bungalow color schemes, even if they weren't usually in this configuation!
The red on the left is a slightly lighter; Copper Clay is the red on the right. This was our sample paint job; this window looks completely different at the moment. Washing the exterior and scraping down the old loose paint is still on the docket before the real paint job begins.
Patrick pointed out that it's the color scheme of several local Buddhist Temples, which is a good thing.

Accident occurred Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in Englewood, CO
Probable Cause Approval Date: 04/30/2008
Aircraft: Beech A45, registration: N34KF
Injuries: 2 Uninjured.
NTSB investigators may not have traveled in support of this investigation and used data provided by various sources to prepare this aircraft accident report.
The pilot stated that the airplane the battery was dead, and he used an external source to "charge/start the airplane." The taxi and initial takeoff were uneventful. During the landing gear retraction after takeoff, the airplane "lost total electrical power." The pilot elected to continue the flight and troubleshoot the electrical failure. With no electrical power, the pilot had no communications, and had to manually extend the landing gear. A second airplane flew near the accident airplane to help verify that the landing gear was extended. The landing gear appeared to be extended, and the pilot attempted to land the airplane. During the landing roll, the right main landing gear collapsed and the airplane went off the runway. The right wing impacted a runway sign, and the nose landing gear and left main landing gear collapsed. The airplane came to rest upright approximately 10 feet off the runway. An examination of the airplane showed that the aircraft battery was completely discharged. The owner of the airplane reported that the alternator would not be able to handle the electrical load during landing gear retraction without battery power.
The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:
•The pilot's improper decision to fly the airplane with a discharged battery, which resulted in a total electrical failure during takeoff climb. Contributing factors were the pilot's inability to verify the landing gear position, and the impact with the runway sign.
i went to the met today. i took a whole bunch of photos that came out amazing, but i had to choose one. which makes me reconsider how i'm making this photoblog. maybe i need to make something where i can have more than one photo for a day. to me, there's a story in them; not necessarily the story of my day, but a story i can imagine, and one that i hope i can turn into writing, or at least act as inspiration for it.
but i walked around the met, and it was incredible. a shining example of a big-city museum, which makes me excited to see what other museums new york has to offer. i people watched on a bench outside, stuck my toes into central park, and walked a whole lot of blocks. i had to get back home to walk & feed miles.
and then i took the subway, by myself, to go meet sara near grand central station. by then, my camera was out of juice, but i need to get back down there some night & photograph the buildings around there. the chrysler building was gorgeous. and sara and i ate dinner, and laughed & caught up, and it was entirely wonderful. she left & promised she'd call me when we she got back into town next week.
i'm not sure what's on the docket for tomorrow. i have a phone call, but i was also think of venturing to go see the upper west side. there's a house there i'd like to photograph. maybe i can go to the library, i hear that's great.

Again, Oklahoma County District Judge Aletia Timmons F*ck You.
This Bitch is at it again. She’s either stupid, crazy or thinks she’s above the law, probably a combo of all 3.Apparently, I gave her too much credit when I said she sounded crazy walking back she had said she was going to enforce Judge Deason’s 4-21-10 Orders back in 2015, after Special Judge McGuire got ahold of her by the tit leading her around in their corruption/collusion, guess she, like Oakes, is just batshit crazy.I haven’t replied back for a couple of reasons.First, I am going to tell her that I have told her multiple times to not contact me again. Once in plain english and twice in Redneck speak of “f*ck you” and “f*ck off” and if she does it again, I am marching my little ass down to the Courthouse and filing a restraining order against her for harassment. Per statutes, it only takes 2 incidents of unwanted contact, she’s on 3. She doesn’t just get to continue to ignore the laws of harassment and stalking, not to mention the Code of Judicial Conduct where Judges are to comply with the laws and uphold the integrity of the Office.Second, since I’m sure she will reply back, poor thing just can’t help herself, that means I will have to follow through and go file a restraining order, which considering all I leave my home for is to go to the doctor and the store, a day trip on the bus to get to the courthouse and back, and around all those people, doesn’t fall into my safe keeping of myself right now.Third. Then we have the matter of there is only 1 District Judge down there that would actually comply with the laws and give this an honest hearing, and that is Judge Stoner, and as far as I know he doesn’t have the P.O. Docket. The rest of them all belong to the Good Ole Boys Club and they will just throw it out and it will have all been for not. Forth, I really can’t say that is what I am going to do and then don’t follow through right away, trying to wait for covid to get under control, that sort of defeats the nature of getting a P.O. of protecting yourself by delaying it.Fifth, pretty sure she’ll come back with its illegal to use lewd language, but my defense is she contacted me first, she harassed me and cause me distress and anger, hence my reply. This was not legitimate business on her part. I guess she’s bugged by my paypal donations and my efforts & that somehow lends to she supports this? Who among you thinks that Timmons supports me coming after her job? None, so it is pointless and harassment on her part.Sixth, I really dont trust the f*ckers to consider the merits of Timmons should not be contacting me to negin with, she shouldn’t be harassing me and they’d just go with the part of slamming me with using lewd language.Per Oklahoma Statutes

Day 26- Divorce Day
After over two years of separation...we finally had our divorce date in court.
Pro se divorce court is so interesting. It's really a reflection of how amazing humanity can be...it was something that gave me more faith in people being good. We were last on the docket, so I got to people watch for 2 and a half hours. Everyone there sat together, smiled at each other, laughed together, and was generally friendly. It was like a moving ceremony of people just letting go...of just realizing that love had come and gone in their lives and it was time to move on and to do so with dignity and caring. So many of them had children and had worked out a parenting plan and child support schedule on their own. There was no animosity in the room. It was the way marriages SHOULD end...two people moving forward with respect for one another.
People get sad around a marriage ending. It's understandable as it is a loss and a change even if you have chosen that loss and change. It is important to have joy when a marriage ends, too. It is often the right decision...letting someone go on to live their lives and be happier and find a love and a partnership that is greater than you have been able to give them. Staying together because you are "supposed to" or "for the kids" is a waste of precious time and life which is so very short. It's a violence against love in all of its forms.
This image is supposed to signify letting go. Moving forward. Finding happiness. Finding ourselves. With the light of our futures warming our faces as we freely let go of something not meant to be.
I am excited to move forward with my life as I know Mark is also. It was difficult to come up with an image that would capture this.

Accident occurred Friday, May 14, 2004 in Louisburg, NC
Probable Cause Approval Date: 9/13/2005
Aircraft: Hughes 269A, registration: N115ES
Injuries: 1 Fatal, 1 Minor.
According to the pilot, the purpose of the flight was an ongoing program directed at drug eradication. He stated that shortly after takeoff, he felt two vibrations and then heard a loud bang from the back of the helicopter. He stated the helicopter yawed to the right, and he entered an autorotation and maneuvered toward a small clearing in the wooded area he was over at the time. The main rotor blades struck a pine tree approximately 30 feet tall on the edge of the clearing and impacted the ground on the helicopters left side. A review of information on file with the Federal Aviation Administration Airman's Certification Division, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, revealed that the pilot did not have an airman's certificate indicating he was rated in helicopters nor could he provide evidence that he was trained in helicopters. A review of records on file with the FAA Aero Medical Records Division revealed the pilot was issued a third class medical certificate on September 26, 1988. The pilot reported on his application for the medical certificate that he had accumulated 39 total flight hours. A review of maintenance records revealed that the last recorded annual inspection was completed on March 21, 2004, at an airframe total time of 5,506.2 hours. On March 13, 1980, the FAA issued an Airworthiness Directive (AD) 80-05-05 addressing Schweizer Helicopters Model 269 series equipped with a tail boom center support (saddle) fitting certificated in all categories. The AD was issued to prevent fatigue failure of the tail boom center support fitting and the resultant loss of the tailboom. A review of the maintenance records dating back to March 13, 1980, found no logbook entries that indicated the required inspections outlined in the AD had been accomplished. Examination of the tail rotor assembly found the tailboom saddle attachment broken. Further examination found rubbing on the tailrotor drive shaft near the broken tailboom saddle attachment. Examination found that the tailboom support fitting fractured as a result of fatigue initiating at the base of a large corrosion pit on the tip surface of the forward wall. This surface, which was in direct contact with the tailboom, was only partially covered by paint, and contained extensive pitting damage. Following the fracture of the saddle support fitting the tailboom dropped and rubbed against the tail drive shaft fracturing it in overstress.
The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:
Fatigue failure of the tailboom saddle fitting which resulted in a loss of aircraft control. Also causal was inadequate maintenance due to non-compliance to an airworthiness directive requiring inspection of the saddle fitting. A contributing factor was the pilot's lack of proper certification.

It was a weird day today, cold and gray out, and work was busy for both of us, and Schnookie had a very uncool exchange with a busybody at the track this morning, and we were in desperate need of some hunkering down this evening. Thank heavens take-out Chinese was on the docket already! That's what cold, rainy, November nights are made for!
And our evening was an utter delight -- being warm and happy listening to the rain, watching The Voice, and playing AC:Rogue. Ahhhh. Everything's better now.

Completed: 12 Inch Batman Doll
There are probably few things geekier than sewing a superhero costume for a 12-inch doll, and arming him with the proper accessories. Still, if you’re looking for a project that you can start and complete on a rainy afternoon, you could do alot worse than working in 1:6 scale.
I wanted to recreate the Mego Batman I had as a child, but more than that, I wanted to recreate the feeling of that toy, the Platonic Ideal of Jared’s Batman doll. To change the elements that frustrated me—those mittens he came with!—and enhance the parts that gave me joy. So this is clearly an Adam West-style Batman, ready to climb up a wall and refer to Robin as “Old Chum.”
Yes, Robin is next on the docket. I don’t want to break up the band.
I may re-do the cowl and the belt. I’m trying to resist the urge to sculpt and cast those elements, as I’m not sure how to achieve what I want with fabric. But I’d hate to ruin the beautiful simplicity of this project. Besides, both of them work for what they are. The toy evokes its inspiration in all the best ways, and I smile every time I see him on the top of the dresser, posed as if ready to swing off and battle foot-high criminals in a tiny Gotham of his own.

We caught a Grand Ole Opry Performance a few weeks ago in Nashville, and were fortunate to have The Band Perry on the docket of 8 performers (we're not real big on Country Music, but The Band Perry isn't an 'ordinary' country western group either)

It is home to Greenville University, the Richard Bock Museum, the American Farm Heritage Museum, the Armed Forces Museum and the Demoulin Museum and a federal prison, Federal Correctional Institution, Greenville (FCI Greenville). The American Farm Heritage Museum was one man's dream. The Museum became a reality when a group of men, mostly farmers, sitting in coffee shop, talked about the dream of building a museum to preserve the farm heritage. Sixty farmers, collectors, and civic leaders held a meeting to share their ideas with the public in April of 2002. It was agreed that Bond County, being near the middle of the state and right along 1-70, would be the perfect place. Meetings were conducted, fundraisers were held, and ideas were passed around. In 2002 the land for the museum was acquired and a name for the museum was chosen.
The American Farm Heritage Museum would sit on seventeen acres, along the south side of interstate 70, just east of the Route 127 overpass. Its goal would be to promote and share the heritage of America's rural life: living, farming and travel. One very generous family purchased the land and leased it for ninety-nine years to the American Farm Heritage Museum, NFP organization. After a year of planning, the first 32'x64' building, with a gambrel roof, was completed. It was finished just days before the first Heritage Days Show in July 2004. This building, originally was to be a tractor maintenance shop, but later became known as the Lil' Red Barn Museum.
In the winter of 2005, owners of a truck terminal building in St. Louis gave the building to the Museum, if we took it down. Several members went to work and got the 200'x100' building moved and rebuilt. Since then other buildings and groups have been added to the show grounds.
We are growing with each passing year. Our Main building is the site of numerous events throughout the year. The Lil' Red Barn is a little piece of history, with collections of items from the past. In 2009 this building received the Illinois Governor's Home Town Award. The Tractor Shed displays different makes of tractors and tools of the past. Our Christmas building, which operates as a work shop and houses all the Christmas boxes for The Christmas Lights Wonderland, partners with The Lil' Red Barn, Railroad, Hill's Fort and the Armed Forces Museum to put on a spectacular Christmas display.
The American Heritage Railroad, established in 2003 is a division of the American Farm Heritage Museum. Many rail-enthusiast members realized as farms were connected by the American Railroad so should the Museum have an operating railroad for its historic value, as well as provide a fun ride for visitors. May 10, 2005 the railroad division was officially formed and an intensive search began to procure equipment. Many thousands of hours of volunteer labor, by friends of the railroad, have resulted in over a mile of 13" gauge track being laid, on the grounds. It is our desire to honor the great railroads that have served Bond County, such as the Vandalia, Nickel Plate, Pennsylvania and CB & Q. In 2005 the Ben Winter's Museum railroad was purchased which provided a G-15 diesel train set. The final move of the Ben Winter's railroad was completed in November, in three days with 20 volunteers, 9 trailers and one semi-truck. The collection has grown to include both diesel and steam engines and a variety of rolling stock. The railroad owns three steam locomotives. It is hoped the 1926 Wagner 4-4-2 steam engine will be ready for operation for the 2015 season.
2005 Hill's Fort also joined the Museum. Hill's Fort played an important part in the opening of Northwest Territory. Hill's Fort may have started as early as 1806 when early settlers first arrived. The Fort's location appears on an 1808 survey map by Capt. Isaac Hill, leader of a team commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson to survey the Illinois Territory. The Legislature fixed Hill's Fort as the temporary county seat. Earliest records are preserved from Hill's Fort and include court and marriage dockets. The Bond County seat was later moved to Perrysville and, in 1821 to Greenville, Illinois. No longer useful as a fort or county seat, Hill's Fort was abandoned and fell to ruin.
Following excruciating study of the original site, a replica of the Fort has been recreated on the grounds of the Farm Museum. It is open to the public on the 1st Saturday of the month from May through October and also open, for tours and special occasions. At Christmas time they are open Friday and Saturday nights for the Christmas lights. They dress in period dress and cook over the open fireplace in the cabin, and are eager to answer questions.
In 2012 The Armed Forces Museum, "Memories of Steel", joined our Museum. It maintains as its sole mission, to preserve these important pieces of military history. The Museum houses one of the largest collections of military vehicles in the County. It currently watches over approximately 15 privately-owned and 25 museum-owned vehicles. The members are involved in a program called "Living history" which furnishes displays of t1istoric vehicles and memorabilia and, works with re-enactors at civil events like Armed Forces Day and Veterans Day. Each of these vehicles has an historic story and plays a very important role in connecting us with the soldiers who lived and died in their service to the country.

We'd been given a recommendation to hit up Maxim's Yum Cha @ City Hall. Got there at 10:30am to discover that the place doesn't open til 11.30am. Or so we thought.
What we didn't realise was that Maxim's has a western style restaurant on level 1, and Yum Cha on level 2. Yum Cha opens at 10.30am. :P
We ended up sitting in an MX store downstairs where after ordering our iced coffees and other various drinks we sat down and waited to be served. Apparently it helps if you present your docket to the counter staff if you actually want to be served.
Re: Protecting Statutory Conscience Rights in Health Care; Delegations of Authority, Docket No. HHS–OCR–2018–0002
Very splotchy sketch of dinner last night (think I drew too small for my brush which has a ruined point)
As I noted on the page, we didn't get given a docket and the plates had been already taken to the kitchen when we went to pay...so my sketch was used to confirm that the 6 plates were 3 x orange, 2 x green 1 x blue. The lovely staff informed us that they have 94 varieties of dishes ...so we need to come back more and sketch every one!
