There is a saying in Tamil which tells us that a crow and a fox are getting married whenever we have rain and bright sun together. Is it that improbable? I have seen this many times but never a crow and a fox together.

It is a wonderful sight nevertheless. It was so bright and the rain was pelting hard. The photo doesn't do justice to the scene. If you see it large you may be able make out the rain drops. Of course, pool surface shows it too.

This is where we escaped for a couple of days last weekend. There is a big blue ocean nearby but it is so washed put in this picture. It is less than 100 metres from those coconut trees.

The previous picture shows the same scene as seen in the night.

The rain has stopped and the night has fallen. I could hear the ocean as I was standing in the balcony taking this shot. Too bad you can't hear it but have to imagine that.

Incidentally where are the people? In this shot and in the next rain'n'sun shot. Well, it was Deepavali, a big festival in these parts.

That is the time people have big celebrations at home and we were an eccentric family to spend that time in a resort! Well, we got good discounts, no crowds, good service, empty pools, deserted beaches and a peaceful holiday. Not a bad deal.

My kids are not very fond of firecrackers. So we didn't miss them much. I mean the firecrackers not the kids :)
