Tried some geometric abstracts yesterday, and a few of them turned out interesting enough to share.

Mechanical issues on an Amtrak loco led to Keolis lending a hand with the newest heritage unit, the Cranberry #1129. It tied onto the front of Amtrak 695 at Boston for the trip to Maine. Here they are arriving Portland station on the Mountain Branch in a brief cloud opening with sun, before shoving back west to the main to finish the trip to Brunswick. GP38-3 #740 is also seen tied down on one of the layover tracks, waiting for its next assignment.

One of the many beautiful waterfalls found in Ballaglass Glen which looks at its enchanting best this time of year. For this shot I had to slide down a muddy bank on my backside before wading out into the middle of the river wielding dual cameras with the water threatening to swamp my wellies with every step. The bizarre things I do in pursuit of photos!

Under blue skies and light cloud a walk around the village as the crop ripens and blows in the wind.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.
(2. Mose 14, 15+16)
