PETER:
Oleg...Oleg...We have to do something for Odessa.
OLEG:
How's that?
PETER:
She's shocked. The Russians attacked the city of Odessa!
That's the city she is named after
OLEG:
That's very...very bad Peter.
We will go straight to Odessa to help her
Grab as many medical products as possible and put them in the rickshaw.
PETER:
Yep...I do!
OLEG:
Do you have everything Peter?
PETER:
Just checking....bandage, thermometer, plasters, disinfectant...
I'm ready... we can leave.
By the way....where should I sit Oleg...the rickshaw is completely full.
OLEG:
Um...well...just climb on my back.
Careful Peter, don't wiggle too much.
PETER:
Jihaaaaa....here we go!
Nasturtium can act as a disinfectant and wound healing plant. All parts of the plant appear to have antibiotic effect, and the herb is used primarily as a means of urinary tract infections and respiratory tract infections.
Tea made from this flower can be used to increase resistance to bacterial infections and to remove cataracts in nose and bronchi. Apparently, the plant works both by damping the cataracts and by helping to dissolve the mucus so that it can be coughed up.
Nasturtium otherwise has the reputation of promoting the formation of red blood cells. The plant has a high content of Ferrum and vitamin C, and can be used in the food to prevent cold and bad throat.
Nasturtium can be eaten;
The leaves, the flowers, the flower buds and the nectar spores on the flower blossom can be eaten raw. They have a crisp, caress-like taste and can put a nice tip on salads and sandwiches.
Always surch for knowledge in your own language, tho ♥🙏
I don't know who they are laughing at.
The one with the wings up is a fledgling I think as it kept calling for food and at this point the parent shouted back lol
This was a very long way off so i'm happy enough with the shot
Orkide çiçeğini yiyen tırtıl.İlk kez çiçek çekmek için gittiğim serada zevkle yediği çiçği görünce hemen makinemi çıkardım..Ama bu keyfi pek uzun sürmedi çünkü çiçekçiye gösterdikten sonra çiçk üzerinden alındı ve çiçek ilaçlandı..
It was taken one of the flower shop..It was great suprise for me because I have never seen this insect on a flower specially on orchid flower , After shot florist removed it from flower an she cleaned the flower with disinfectant solutions...
I work at school with a population of more than two and a half thousand students and teachers for many years. When the SARs started, there was one room that was yearly closed down due to seasonal flu. Of course, blame it to the dormant virus that strikes during the rainy season where a lot children get sick. A virus doesn’t die, it just becomes dormant and each virus is triggered by something. Yearly, this room is always shut down for a week or two as almost three-quarters of the class get sick. No amount of disinfectant and domestos can kill whatever virus that sticks on the wall, floor, tables and stuff inside the classroom.
When the face mask wasn’t mandated yet, I remember teaching a class one morning. We were doing book activity and went around to check their work and gave them a timely feedback whilst doing their numbers. As I stopped on one of the girls, she sneezed so hard on her book. Surely, saliva spray came out in such a fine mist, which most of the time, it’s not even visible to the human eye. Later after the class, I collected the books and marked them. Just one abrupt cough with respiratory droplets…..I called in sick the next day with high temperature, runny nose, flu and phlegm. This is how virus is being transmitted from one person to the next….from school to home, home to school then everywhere. It is a viscious cycle of infection. This happened for many years before even COVID and its variants were exposed.
Without a doubt, some will disagree with wearing a mask. But I will keep wearing it all the time. Our community won’t heal and recover if we don’t cooperate. When you wear a mask, it will block the germs that come out of your mouth and nose whenever you talk, laugh, sing, cough, sneeze and breathe. This also means that if you don’t know that you have COVID-19, you’ll help prevent others from getting it. Mask won’t protect us completely but it will help you protect getting sick in the first place. So contain it contain it contain it.
You might be far away from us due to the pandemic.... but you are never alone. Merry Christmas my Flick friends!
Today my son, brought us some Lysol wipes which made our day as we have not had any all this time! So I took a photo of it with my iPhone and then played with it.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
Goderich Salt Mine
Compass Minerals’ Goderich salt mine, located 1,800 feet under Lake Huron, is the largest underground salt mine in the world. The mine is as deep as the CN Tower in Toronto is tall. It has operated since 1959 and was acquired by Compass Minerals in 1990.
The rock salt produced at the mine is used to keep citizens in North America safe as they travel through winter snow and ice. The salt is shipped to hundreds of communities around the Great Lakes and along the St. Lawrence Seaway. Some of the salt is trucked to the Compass Minerals plant less than 4 kilometers away, to be packaged for distribution and sale at retailers in North America. The salt is also sold in bulk to manufacturers that make plastics, detergents, disinfectants and other important products.
I spent this afternoon looking for lilies-of-the-valley which are starting to bloom here. Most blossoms aren't open yet, but there is already a wonderful scent in the air --you'd never think they're that highly poisonous.
(So if you're looking for a more natural alternative to injecting disinfectant into your veins 😱😂... Mother Nature has you covered. -Why do I keep being stunned at this level of imbecility?)
Bones, my little stuffed/plush dog toy. You saw the photo of his tail in a previous photo, now here he is trying to feel safe.

I'm probably going to close down my feeders for two weeks to deal with what is probably Trichomonas gallinae - several Chaffinches and now Goldfinches look unwell.
I have Virkon disinfectant so everything will be washed and sprayed, hopefully I can get on top of it.

Please don't go swallowing disinfectant today its not a good idea how do those doctors behind him keep a straight face . Our leaders are pretty incompetent but at least they do not try selling snake oil to the gullible

I find it curious how sometimes pictures are totally accidental. I went to a nearby village to do some shooting, and at lunchtime I went to a local traditional restaurant. I chose a table, took a seat and suddenly there it was right before my eyes, this scene. Needless to say, I had to go for the camera...
The presence of the "new normal" disinfectant fluids together with such a beautiful traditional arrangement is in the origin of the caption.

EN Maybe between the shadows and in the shelter of the night, you have thought that he is like you, but he is not.
His skin is hard, gray coloured and cold, if you ever manage to touch him.
In his eyes, if he's close enough, you can read coordinates, numbers.. or maybe it's a language I don't know.
His smell reminds you of when you use disinfectant... or that new faux leather bag... or rather a mix of both.
Being around him makes you feel the same as when you saw your grandfather die, remember? The smell of death, fear and darkness... something that makes you live your nightmares, but for some reason, it also attracts you in a way that you can't explain... well... at least that's what my mother says.
Here, at this time, he is known as XI1569. A Construct or more accurately, a Bionoid.
He wasn’t born like you and me, he has been designed and made by and for the Technocracy*, from a material that is not entirely alive or technological, a mixture with the best DNA of living beings from the known planets in the Universe of the future and his own biotechnology.
A body that updates according to its needs, a body that continues improving just like Iteration X, the Convention within the Technocracy to which he belongs... and me...he says with some pride but also a little nervous. .. I'm his son.
How did he come to our time and why? I don't know, maybe one day I'll dare to ask him but I don't really care, what matters to me is that he is still with me* he says smiling although a little sad, with a gesture that reminds us of what he is despite his maturity and circumstances, an 8-year-old boy who misses his father*
*The Technocracy(Term used in the RPG Mage, The Ascension): It is a corporation dedicated to the preservation of Reality as understood by the human being. No paranormal events or supernatural entities of any kind. THE REALITY like you, who reads this, know it.
In times of crisis, there have always been quacks, charlatans, doomsday prophets and plain idiots claiming to be in the know. New, and not a little surprising, is perhaps that POTUS (the President of the United States) has joined this group. Do not inject or swallow disinfectant! It would kill you, but not the Virus.

This walkway is in the Waiau Kauri Grove, Coromandel, NZ. The Kauri is a NZ native tree and is one of the world's tallest trees, growing up to 50 metres and is known to live for 2000 years. However, the fate of this might tree is hanging in the balance due to Kauri Dieback which is gradually killing these incredible trees. The NZ Forestry is doing it's best to ensure that healthy trees are not affected by putting in boot disinfectant washers to ensure hikers do not carry in (or out) the fungus that causes the disease. Let's hope these mighty Kauri's live another 2000 years!

Happy belated Canada Day, from the 2010 archives, from the Lake O'Hara hike in the Rockies. Long rant about covid regulations in Canada and Mexico below:
During my recent trip in Mexico, one hotel I stayed in offered Canadian TV channels, and I watched it one morning. It was an eye opener. In mid-June 2021 they were discussing the possibility of opening the border between..... Ontario and Quebec!!! I know they closed the international border but between provinces?? . I never thought I would say these words, but I'm glad I wasn't living in Canada during the pandemic. Oh, I heard Australia was even worse, the rules in Mexico are also so random, the police stop you in the middle of nowhere to spray hour hands with sanitizer and sometimes you have to go through a spray of disinfectant and wipe your shoes in it, ......yes that would prevent anyone from getting sick if I had the virus and they licked my hair, my shoes or my shirt. Most archeological sites and even some outdoor roadside viewpoints are either completely or partially closed and barricaded, yet indoor dining is allowed and public transport is packed to capacity, I guess the virus only spreads in breezy outdoor settings in Mexico.
Call me strange, but I'm not one to shout out answers to trivia questions that I'm not 90% sure I know the answer to, I certainly wouldn't blurt out a series of imbecilic brain farts in front of my peers or the media.
I can't even make this stuff up, but the news is nutters and I'll leave this here, just in case anyone needs to hear this...
You are a meat bag filled with internal organs that can be damaged by introducing harsh chemicals into your delicate human system.
DO NOT DRINK, INJECT or BREATHE dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray/liquid of any bleach or disinfectant product.
If you happen to live with or near a complete fucking idiot who follows the advice of a mad man you may need to know the following:
IF SWALLOWED:
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately.
IF INHALED:
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician

214/365: My mojo took the day off, I really struggled for ideas today until I decided to use the lavender again, and tea...again! Btw this is not lavender tea. I tried it once and thought it tasted like disinfectant.
I am just beginning to catch up but will be away for a few days again, with no internet access. I will do my best to catch up when back. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Five minutes after arrivng at the campsite I took my boots off and put my slippers on ( they have a huge hole from my left big toe, ) and went to get some water.
When I got back I stubbed my toe on the plywood floor, slipped and the toenail caught on the ply. Ripped it clean off. I've never seen so much blood. In to Keswick and bought disinfectant and some dressings, hobbling around in a blood filled slipper. Squelch, squelch, squelch.
Wouldn't mind but I'd bought some superglue to stick the seal back on the ply but as usual I never got round to fixing it.
So no Wainwrights for me, not even low level ones. Road side locations and very very short walks!

Griffon Vultures (Gyps fulvus) are remarkable scavengers with unique biological adaptations that often seem "strange" compared to other birds. They act as a critical natural cleanup crew, possessing extremely strong stomach acid and specialized flight techniques that allow them to consume rotting carcasses without getting sick.
Urine as a Disinfectant: To combat the bacteria they encounter while feeding on carrion, Griffon Vultures urinate on their own legs. This acts as a cleaning agent, killing parasites and germs they pick up while walking on carcasses.
"Fake Eyes" Defense: Himalayan Griffon Vultures (Gyps himalayensis) can create an optical illusion by rearranging their feathers to reveal light patches on their neck and chest. These create "fake eyes" that appear to be watching, which confuses predators and helps them appear larger.
Record-Breaking Altitude: A Rüppell’s Griffon Vulture holds the record for the highest-flying bird, documented at 37,000 feet (11,000 meters) — the same altitude as a Boeing 747 airliner — when it struck an airplane in 1973.

Isopropyl alcohol wipes, intended for first-aid purposes but come in handy for cleaning tasks, too. Use once, then toss in the trash, not the toilet; a recent label update has a prominent DO NOT FLUSH warning with a larger pictograph since the fabric does not decompose and can clog drains or become a nuisance at sewage treatment plants.
(To be honest, the sheets are duds because the alcohol evaporated from failing to close the lid tightly. Oops.)
May start calling these pictures BOS.
I have some mobility problems so my pictures are from the garden hide.
Still on restricted feeders and still spraying the Virkon disinfectant. Sad to see a Brambling today that has been affected by Trichomonosis. Horrible disease and while I can be scrupulous with feeder hygiene perhaps my neighbours aren't.

In September 1920 a corpse of an 80 foot-long whale drifted into Bragar Bay. It had a harpoon in its head, trailed by 50 feet of rope. The beached whale attracted a great deal of attention due to its size, but the issue of what to do with it soon took centre stage. Village officials contacted a whaling company to come and retrieve the body but no one came. The corpse began to rot and the stench was awful so with no one interested the villagers rolled up their sleeves and dealt with it themselves. The blubber was used for oil, disinfectant, tar and medicine. It was harvested by tapping into the whales body and filling bottles and barrels with the gloopy fat. The village postmaster and general merchant, Murdo Morrison, had taken a great deal of interest in the whale, and had been a spokesperson on behalf of his co-villagers in the matter of its disposal. He decided that he would take a memento and the lower jawbone would make a an ideal arch over the entrance to his home "Lakefield". In the autumn of 1921 a procession of two horses and many villagers pulled the gigantic bones on a makeshift sledge over the rough tracks from the shore to "Lakefield". The bones at the centre were too soft, so part of it was removed until the harder bone was reached and the arch seen today was shortened considerably. The jawbone stands today at 25 feet tall and 4 tons heavy. The harpoon is suspended at the apex with a decorative droplet on top. Through the middle of each of the two pillars passes a hair-pin band of iron, which keeps the bones in position. The bones at the apex have supporting iron studs down both sides. No one knows where the whale was harpooned. or by whom, but its arrival in Bragar is now the stuff of local lore and, of course, pride. The arch which has more recently been coated in fibreglass/resin for preservation purposes, has been bid upon numerous times over the century since it was raised, but it will not and never will be for sale.
First settled in the 7th century B.C., by the Messapians, Ostuni was eventually taken by the Romans and then by a series of conquerors too numerous to mention. The city was spared the devastation of the plague in the 17th century, due to a natural disinfectant (!) found the whitewash that was used on the buildings. Hence, we know it as the "White City". This image shows part of the extensive outer walls. Ostuni sits close to the Adriatic Coast.

Elan sat on the couch, quietly waiting for Landon to get home from work. Trying not to touch the deep gashes on his chest and face, growing restless with the embarrassment of getting beat up by trolls, again! "Blasted beasts are so f*cking mean!" He muttered reliving the memory of trying to take the shortcut through the enchanted woods behind Raven Academy; where he was interviewing to be Head Master. He gently tapped a finger on one of the wounds and winced.
A door creaked open and then gently closed. Elan sat with one piddly lamp illuminating his sad and defeated form on the couch. Landon set down his brief case and removed his jacket, assessing the scene expressionless. Elan couldn't figure out what he was thinking. Landon pinched the bridge of his nose as he put his jacket down and walked out of the room. Elan managed to look even more defeated, just waiting for Landon to return and say something... anything. Landon came back with a bottle of disinfectant and a rag... he helped Elan out of his shirt and patted his lap as he sat down. Elan crawled over him like a helpless wounded puppy and sat staring at him. Grimacing as Landon put the soaked rag to his wounded chest. Finally Landon broke the silence. "Why do you insist on always getting into danger?" Elan looked at Landon, his body melting at the caring eyes looking back, "because... I know you will always fix me."

What we have is allegedly the most beautiful spring that Europe has ever experienced in the past decade, yet another natural phenomenon (aka “The Virus”) forces millions of us to stay home, confined among four walls. Luckily we do not need a mask or a bottle of disinfectant to wander around in a virtual world... and Luane’s sim is as beautiful as any RL garden, without the limitations imposed upon us by harsh reality.

Tequila barrel shaped hotel rooms among agave fields, Tequila, Jalisco state, Mexico. The hotel is quite expensive by Mexican standards and as a part of local "covid" protocols, one enters the property by passing through a mist of disinfectant, oh baby my hair and T-shirt sure were free of viruses for any staff or guest interested in licking them. Happy weekend to all.
For 121 Pictures in 2021 #64 "Oil and Water", this is ... oil and water. Following one suggestion, I added a small amount of soap to the water before adding the oil, to give the oil droplets a little more definition. I'm not sure why that works since detergent actually decreases surface tension (that's what makes it a good disinfectant), but it did seem to work. I may have used too much soap, but I still like the results.

Disclaimer: Photographed in my own vehicle. Social Distancing was practiced and got a handful of disinfectants and masks.

SUBJECT: NASTURTIUM
NASTURTIUM can act both as a disinfectant and as a healing agent, and all parts of the plant have strong antibiotic and antimicrobial properties.
First he had to find his way out of the badlands. Then he had to escape that coyote that nearly ripped his ear off (apparently coyotes don't follow the governor's 6-foot social distancing rule). After all that hiding of chocolate eggs, and wiping his paws off with disinfectant between each house, it was good to chill out in Albuquerque and nibble some sweet wildflowers.
This was taken in BIDEFORD (North Devon) HOSPITAL, Christmas 1930, the nurse on the far left was my mother aged 16.The young nurses spent most of their days on their hands and knees scrubbing the floors with disinfectant.
Today I gave photography classes in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf on behalf of the Digital Photo Academy. First we learned how to operate the camera, then we walked around the colorful area of Fisherman's Wharf to learn composition in the field. It's touristy, but has a lot of variety, inviting us to play and learn.
After the classes I walked to a less touristy part with fisherman, where I got bitten by a dog who jumped out of a car to defend the owner's property. The owner was friendly and apologized. I had disinfectant to clean the shallow bite, no biggie. On the way back to the car I passed by the famous Ghirardelli square and marketplace, where a band was playing Christmas music.
I processed a softy HDR photo from a RAW exposure, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
