Sorge nella zona della “Cittadella”, una parte molto antica della città che deve il proprio nome al carattere militare datole dalle fortezze costruite qui da Castruccio Castracani prima e Paolo Guinigi poi, quest’ultima smantellata nel 1430.

Nel ‘500 parte della zona viene adibita a deposito del grano, gestito dall’Offizio sopra l’Abbondanza, che curerà anche la produzione e la distribuzione del pane in città.

Nello stesso periodo, su di un’altra parte del sito, viene costruito un convento femminile domenicano.

Nel 1806 il monastero viene espropriato e l’anno successivo diviene sede dell’Istituto educativo Elisa.

Nel 1815 i locali del magazzino del grano vengono adibiti alla produzione di tabacchi (e nel 1892 anche i locali dell’Istituto Elisa verranno assegnati alla Manifattura, dandole l’assetto definitivo).

La Manifattura apre nel 1818, diventando la fabbrica più importante all’interno delle Mura e - insieme alla Cucirini Cantoni Coats- la più importante realtà del lavoro operaio della città con manodopera in prevalenza femminile.

La storia della Manifattura è legata a quella del Sigaro Toscano. Una lavorazione che ancora oggi ha in Lucca il suo centro principale, dove si realizza la maggior parte delle 18 varietà del prodotto.

Dal giugno 2004 la produzione è stata definitivamente trasferita nel nuovo complesso realizzato nella zona industriale nella periferia sud della città. Da quella data, gli storici locali protagonisti della storia e della vita di questa zona del centro sono vuoti e ‘abbandonati’, con la sola eccezione di alcune mostre culturali realizzate al loro interno.

Il resto è storia recentissima.

Con l’approvazione del progetto “Lucca Dentro”, inserito nel PIUSS (Piano Integrato di Sviluppo Urbano Sostenibile), e lo stanziamento dei relativi finanziamenti regionali ottenuto durante il corso del 2009, quella che fu la storica Manifattura Tabacchi sarà inserita nel generale piano di riqualificazione di questa parte di centro storico.

Questi, in sintesi, i progetti approvati per la riqualificazione della ex Manifattura Tabacchi:

-“Centro di competenza per lo sviluppo di insediamento e di impresa ad alta innovazione tecnologica” (area interessata circa 2000 mq);

-“Strutture per l’alta formazione connesse al trasferimento tecnologico” (circa 922 mq);

-“Centro di competenza di tecnologie, arti e spettacolo (circa 1000 mq);

-“Centro di attività di contrasto al disagio sociale”.

Een 3D Do-It-Yourself tentoonstelling in Leidsche Rijn

 

Ooit een uitgeprinte Rietveld stoel gezien? Geluisterd naar een draaiorgel van plastic? Of een trein gestolen uit het Spoorwegmuseum?

 

In samenwerking met de zeven grootste musea van Utrecht organiseert SETUP een 3D Do-It-Yourself expositie in Leidsche Rijn, genaamd DE DIGITALE KUNSTROOF. Deze zomer worden in tentoonstellingspaviljoen ‘Het Gebouw’ diverse 3D-geprinte kopieën van Utrechtse kunstwerken getoond. Blinkende euro's uit het Geldmuseum, glazen beesten uit het Universiteitsmuseum, een spelend draaiorgel uit Museum Speelklok; alles in 3D ingescand en uitgeprint. Kom kijken naar wat de 3D printer met kunst kan doen!

Voor de huiswerkopdracht voor les 4 moesten twee foto's van hetzelfde onderwerp met verschillende scherptediepte worden gemaakt. Gekozen is om de camera in de bak van het tafelvoetbalspel op mijn werk te plaatsen. Voornaamste reden was de statief functie van de bak en het klem zetten van de camera tegen de zijwand, zodat 2x dezelfde foto genomen kon worden. Door het plaatsen van de camera langs de rand, wordt het diepte effect groot. Qua compositie en lijnen is ook hier weer de 9-vlaks verdeling te ontdekken. De foto is over een groot deel van de diepte scherp, zelfs de nerven in het hout links zijn zichtbaar. De diafragma opening stond hier op redelijk dicht (hoge diafragma waarde), wat een lange sluitertijd opleverde (vandaar de statief functie van de bak).

Beim großen Event „Digitale Schule ist mehr als 0 und 1“ sprach der Schweizer Digitalisierungs-Experte Prof. Dr. Beat Döbeli Honegger über die Zukunft der Schule und diskutierte mit Bundesministerin Dr. Sophie Karmasin, dem Experten aus dem Bildungsministerium Mag. Martin Bauer sowie Eltern über die Herausforderung und die Chancen der Digitalisierung im Bildungsbereich. Rund 300 Kinder, Eltern und Lehrende nahmen an dem Event im T-Center am Abend des 12. Junis 2017 teil.
