Some nights don’t feel real.
They feel like you’ve slipped quietly out of the world…
drifted past worries, past noise, past expectations…
and landed somewhere soft between the stars.
Tonight was one of those nights.
I found myself sitting on a cloud that shimmered like moonlight, wrapped in pastel galaxies and gentle magic. The sky stretched endlessly around me, painted in purples and blues, dusted with tiny glowing constellations. Balloons floated beside me like little planets, whispering secrets of faraway dreams.
And for once… I didn’t feel heavy.
I felt light.
Like all the things I carry every day
responsibilities, emotions, fears, hopes
had been gently set down beside me.
I watched the stars twinkle and thought about how easy it is to forget how strong we are. How often we survive storms quietly. How often we keep going even when we’re tired. Even when we’re unsure. Even when we’re hurting.
But up here… floating in this celestial moment…
I remembered.
I remembered that softness is strength.
That dreaming is brave.
That being gentle with yourself is powerful.
My reflection shimmered beside me like a memory frozen in time eyes full of stardust, heart full of wishes, wrapped in glittering shadows that danced with every breath I took. It felt like seeing both who I am… and who I’m becoming.
A girl made of moonlight.
Of magic.
Of resilience.
Of quiet hope.
And maybe… just maybe…
that’s enough. 💫

Plastic snagged on wire, twitching in the breeze like it wants out. A cheap little ghost doing its best impression of freedom. Makes me think of that drifting bag scene; the way beauty appears in the most disposable of places.
It would be a few years before the controversial movie with Kevin Spacey came out called American Rose. But a scene in it has always resonated with me. And this image has lurked in my memory for more than 20 years.
There is something haunting about plastic caught on barb wire flapping gently in the breeze.

Today, there’s no plan. No sightseeing. No schedule. ☀️
Just sunshine, cool water, something nice to drink … and absolutely nowhere we need to be.
Tiny Tamara seems to have understood the assignment perfectly. 😄

There’s something about quiet nights that make me think of you the most.
The world outside can be loud, chaotic, messy…
but in here it’s warm.
The fire crackles softly, golden light dancing across the walls. Little sparkles float through the air like wishes that haven’t been spoken out loud yet. I sit here, curled up in my favorite spot, boots still on, pretending I’m not watching the door every few minutes.
Waiting doesn’t feel heavy with you.
It feels soft.
Intentional.
Hopeful.
Thirty days ago, I didn’t know how much someone could become part of my daily rhythm so quickly. Now you’re in the small things the way I smile at my screen, the way my thoughts wander, the way I feel steadier just knowing you’re there.
This past month hasn’t been about rushing or labeling or trying to make it bigger than it is.
It’s been about:
• slow warmth
• late conversations
• comfort
• laughter
• feeling chosen without being pressured
And tonight, I sit here in the glow of the fire, thinking about how love doesn’t always arrive in fireworks.
Sometimes it arrives like this.
A steady flame.
Warm. Constant. Patient.
You don’t have to say everything at once.
You don’t have to promise forever.
Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply showing up… and staying.
Happy one month.
I’m really, really glad it’s you.

A real memory., The first time I stood before a crowd and read my poetry aloud. Nervous, shaking, trying to breathe…then realizing they were listening.👏
I turned that feeling into art, ...my way. 😃
Still learning. Still creating. Still speaking. ♥
“Speak again.”
“And this time, I will.” @

My first time reading my poetry in front of a crowd @Verse & Vinyl Lounge in SL.
My face was flushed as I clicked my mic on. My Ultra shy nerves- was shot. The breath before the first word…then realizing they were leaning in..- listening.
My Poem: "Let me speak on the hues of my skin" was the hook
This is my visual story ♥

Monday Morning
Finding Home in Everyday Moments
Some mornings don't begin with an alarm clock.
They begin with silence.
This morning, I woke up a little before Valerie did.
She was still sleeping peacefully upstairs while I quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake her.
Barefoot, I made my way down the small staircase and stepped outside onto the terrace.
The morning air was cool.
The sea was almost perfectly still.
Everything around me seemed to be sleeping.
Sometimes I forget how lucky I am.
This houseboat has become so much more than just a place I visit.
It's full of memories.
Quiet conversations.
Shared laughter.
Little traditions that slowly became part of everyday life.
Valerie even placed a small sign here that simply says:
VALMARA´S HOME
Sometimes it's the smallest gestures that make a place feel like home.
Every time I see it, I smile.
Because somehow...
it really does feel like home.
Unlike my little beach house, hardly anyone ever comes by here.
Here we find exactly what everyday life so often takes away from us:
Peace.
Just the gentle sound of the water, the first birds welcoming a new day, and a place where the world seems to slow down for a little while.
Back in Germany, it was already five o'clock on a Monday morning.
Work was waiting for me.
But not quite yet.
I stayed there for another quiet moment, taking in the beautiful view.
Right beside me, the coffee machine was already waiting.
With a gentle smile, I switched it on and watched the first rays of sunlight slowly turn the water into shimmering gold.
A few moments later, with a warm cup of coffee in my hands, I curled up on the sofa on the terrace and simply enjoyed the peaceful silence.
Soon I'd take a shower, get dressed, and quietly leave for work without waking Valerie.
Our stories...
the traditions we've built together...
and everything that makes VALMARA what it is...
those are stories for another day.
For now...
this peaceful Monday morning is exactly where my week begins.
— Tamara ❤️
Today's Outfit
Today I'm wearing "LUZ" by NANIKA.
A soft and comfortable outfit that felt just right for this quiet Monday morning on the houseboat.
A closed shopfront layered with torn rental notices and sun‑bleached ads, each one added, replaced, or half‑removed in the churn of the city. The metal door holds the residue of a thousand small transactions — rooms offered, numbers called, promises made and forgotten. In 2014 it felt like a quiet pause in the middle of Hong Kong’s relentless motion, a moment where the city’s visual noise settled into a kind of accidental collage.

East Hawthorn circa 2000
The fence is giving up in slow motion, timber slumping like an old man who’s tired of holding the line. Vines push through the gaps, patient and opportunistic, reclaiming whatever the years have loosened.
Behind it, the chain‑link and barbed wire pretend to mean something, but even they look weary, guarding nothing but a patch of overgrown memory. A backyard boundary dissolving into its own history, one broken plank at a time.
Seriously?

Beneath a sky painted with drifting cotton clouds, the late afternoon sun casts golden light over this rugged pocket of Kensington, a moment frozen in 2006. A red car, almost defiantly small, speeds towards the underpass—a tunnel of bricks and history, its weathered facade whispering tales of trucks that didn’t quite fit. The bold yellow sign warns of the low clearance, but it’s the layers of posters clinging to the walls, their edges curling in quiet rebellion, that tell the real story of a city forever in flux.
On the left, a chain-link fence leans slightly, its metal bones intertwined with weeds and time. A stern red-and-white HAZCHEM sign adds an air of caution, though the true danger here seems to be neglect—the creeping wildness reclaiming the edges of industry. Further down, a wooden pole tilts, holding onto its own directive: LEFT LANE MUST TURN LEFT, a command as absolute as it is ignored in the stillness of this near-empty street. On the left, a transmission tower—its upper reaches partially cropped—stands as a silent sentinel, its metallic lattice etched against the sky, a testament to industrial ambition and urban decay.
Above it all, power lines slice across the sky, connecting past to present, whispering electricity into the bones of a city that hums, even in its quieter corners.
At times, this thoroughfare gets very busy.

Old machinery, containers and other relics, left out in the weather, rust settling into every seam. It’s likely been abandoned for decades at that point in or around 2000.
The whole yard feels like a forgotten chapter; corrugated walls bleeding rust, weeds pushing up against the fence, the rail line cutting through it all like a reminder that things used to move here. Now it’s just metal, memory, and the slow collapse of whatever work once happened behind those walls.
How long this vehicle has been here is anyone's guess. It is at the bottom of a steep hill in what was once a domestic tip. The Maribrynong river runs though the backgound.
