Sun Group Introduces Video Name Tag and Digital Signage Player. Up to 12 hours of playback time
The Sun Group of Taipei, Taiwan, has introduced THE Digital TAG, Video Name Tag (Model No.: SUN-SG824), a wearable digital signage player the size of a 2.4-by-2-inch name tag that delivers a message through professional video content on a 320 x 240 resolution screen.
THE Digital TAG, the Sun Group’s version of a personal digital signage player, can deliver tailored video messages to customers in retail stores.
According to the company, it designed this tiny digital signage marketing tool to enable retail employees to deliver tailored messages to every customer. The Digital TAG turns location-specific marketing and sales messages into a one-on-one employee/customer interaction.
Other applications the company suggests include employee orientation and training, job fairs, conventions and social events.
THE Digital TAG’s content can be set to display individual store specific messaging like specials, company wide marketing or any combination of the two using AVI or JPEG content. New content can be easily uploaded using a TF card and mini USB interface, the company said.
The unit is a mere half-inch thick, weighs just 1.4 ounces and averages three to four hours of playback time on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
