We partnered with the Washington, DC Economic Partnership with support by Washington D.C.’s Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning & Economic Development to host the “Digital DC Day Party", where we celebrated the incredible accomplishments that we've seen in the DC tech community over the last few years.
Usually, when I stop by to see these horses on the way home from work I don't have any treats for them. This time, I worked late so when I left no one else was around, and the lady next door feeds all the rabbits there. She left out some carrots so my kids picked up some of them and we took them to the horses. The horses came right over. Then the owner showed up right after us and I have met him before. He is very nice and has offered to let us ride them. L blurted out the question, "can I ride one of them?" and the owner put L on the back of the dark one and led him around the pen. Then L wanted me to ride. None of us were in horseback riding clothes, we all had shorts and flip-flops on. So I got on and rode around the pen, and I have a funny picture to post of it... tomorrow. My daughter wanted to ride but she didn't want to ride. We eventually got her to get on, but driving home she started breaking out in hives and itching. That is what happens to her around farm animals unless she has a Benedryl before-hand. We were done with our rides and the owner what going to take them to give them a bath anyway.
