Some retail therapy before the holidays. Walked into Nordstrom's Loft and physically bumped into this cute sweater which was on display....it screamed at me to take her home, which I did for a steal...$130 sweater reduced to $49.

If I truly were Ms deVil, I would look something like this

But, honestly, I'm not

The lighting and "Ambiente" seemed perfect so I took advantage!

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

These are 3 of a set of 6 cards. I used the Hero Arts images from the Silhouette store. I re-sized them to fit an A2 card and cut them out on white CS. I then colored the images in with Distress stain, in Black soot, and sprayed it with Studio Calico shimmer spray.

For the BG, I colored a white piece of CS with Distress stains in various colors to create different effects, ans sprayed it too with the shimmer spray. I then glued the images to the BG's and added the sentiment.

( You can see the "spots" of spray in these photo's quite a bit, since it is late and my photographs are not so good with poor light, in real life however, it looks soooo pretty! I will try and take nicer pics tomorrow and replace these with those :)

You can see close ups of each card in my photostream if you like :)

Macro Monday - New Technology - 4TB G-Tech Hard Drive. One of the hard drives used to store all my music, films and photo's. The drive light on the front flashes when it's reading or writing to disk illuminating the inside. Light painted the G on the front with a torch during the second exposure, whilst holing a bit of blue glass over the the light to stop the hight lights blowing out too much.

Another old image turned into Digital Art using Topaz Impression' software.

This image shows the 'Prince of Wales' pub in Church Lane, with Ledbury Church in the distance.

I could go on and on with his fascinating features, but I need to stop.

scanned through my slow processor human brain onto the iPad using finger and the unique brushes app and a grainy photo reference from the sunday paper.more back and forth looking than the tennis macht from last week...

Today (10/12/16) I am posting additional images of variations of several abstracts I have posted before. There are times when I create an image, and then continue creating a few, and sometimes dozens, of variations.

This image was created digitally. The idea came while looking at shelves with CDs lined up on them. I made various versions (see first comment below) in assorted colors and textures and with ambiguous books or CDs lined up in various ways.

All elements of this image were created by me.

Playing around with some digital makeup. photo by Philippe Salomon

This is a 100% comparison of Fujichrome Provia 100F film shot with a Nikon F80 (and scanned on a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED with Vuescan software) and the same view taken with both a digital Nikon D7000 & Fujifilm X10.

Note: Although the caption above says the Fuji X10 was shot in 12MP mode, in reality, once the image is cropped to match the 2:3 aspect ratio, the dimensions change from 3000x4000 to 2664x4000, which is actually 10.7MP. The width however, is the same as 12MP APS-C.

Also, noise reduction with Imagenomic Noiseware Pro was applied in post to the Nikon F80 scan and the Fuji X10 image. The Nikon D7000 image in the middle had no noise so no noise reduction was applied.

Conclusion? For anyone who thinks film is dead, think again. With a good scanner, some tech skills and a $25 '70s era SLR, you can easily get pro results that few could tell the difference from images shot on a $1200 DSLR.

And for those wondering if the Fujifilm X10 can match or exceed film at base ISO; the answer is "yes" in sharpness, color and dynamic range and "always" in convenience and portability.

I love that late afternoon sun, even if it's only through the window! I added a texture, unfortunately I can't seem to remember and have no record of the creator.
