This technique is an alternative to regular stem cuttings and rooting. Use a nepenthes that is in the vining stage and choose a node that has a large space between leaves.
1. Cut at an angle into the node but not all the way through.
2. Add rooting hormone to the opening. Most types have fungicide which will help keep disease out. Take some long fibered sphagnum moss, wet it and ball it up. Make sure it is very moist then place it into the cut and around the stem.
3. Wrap with clear plastic and tie with twisty ties. The idea is to trick the plant into thinking the ground is higher than it is.
4. Remove plastic when roots develope.
5. Cut the set off under the roots and plant in a pot with proper medium. Bagging and hardening off is optional.
This technique seems fairly straight forward and something I am looking forward to trying out myself.

The Opuntia fruits develope along edge of pads.They are large fig-like after ripening have purple colour and generally edible/often called:"tunas"/.

Sudah agak lama tak develope any HDR image, godek archieve dalam lightroom jumpa satu photo HDR yang dihasilkan tahun lepas. Itu pun sebab issue dalam Digital Camera Magazine kali ni bercerita pasal HDR.
Yang ni agak unik sikit sbb Light trail combine with HDR.......

Whilst on Merrick summit we watched this cloud develope to the south west of us and it slowly but surely created rain. We only just caught the edge of it with some hale stones thrown in but it certainly looked impressive when seen from the edges of the mountains.

Everyone knows the long male catkins, but few ever notice the tiny red female flowers (top centre). Wind blown pollen from the male catkins will settle on the female flowers and fertilise them. Only then will the hazel nuts develope.
