that meets once a month. It's always been my dream to develope friendships with other women and try to fit in with them. This group is always super sweet to me. We had such a lovely time.
The Railway company were very keen to develope Cleethorpes as an ideal Holiday Destination and built this 'folly' on the Seafront and named it after the Secretary of the Company - Edward Ross. The Railway arrived in Cleethorpes in 1863 and in 1884 bought the Pier Gardens. The idea was that having paid the Railway Company your train fare you would pay a few extra pennies to stroll around the Gardens which included The Pier and Ross Castle as the main attractions. This continued until 1934 when the Council took over the gardens and attractions and removed all admission charges. Today, the top of the castle gives beautiful views across the Humber Estuary. I wonder what it was like to develope film back in the day, not knowing what was going to show up when you processed it. I could imagine my own surprise should I have seen this one emerge..
