For the most part the lunar eclipse was clouded out in my location in Toronto. There would be partially cloudy openings, like this hazy scene. But I was intrigued when I saw this plane flying into the scene, and the song "Destination Moon" popped into my head.

CN 5298 leads X338 through Dyer, IN, nearing its final destination of Kirk Yard.

Nothing artful about this, but an opportunity that couldn't be missed, and it does feature the lush Devon countryside.

After a 5 hour layover, DB Cargo 'Shed' 66112 restarts from Exeter Riverside Yard with the 11.46am Parkandillack - Stoke-on-Trent loaded china clay tanks (6M53). The route will take it via Westbury and eventually the Lickey Incline, where it will receive banking assistance. Arrival in Stoke-on-Trent is scheduled for 5.30am, Friday morning.

This was my first visit to Cowley Bridge Junction since the 1970s and, like last time, involved a walk from the station. At least it burned off a few calories from the hurriedly consumed dinner earlier.

Commenting off, thanks

Rarely is a hotel a destination in its own right. Rarely do I post a picture of a hotel where I stayed. The Suryagarh is different. The hotel was build recently, but obviously with attention to the historical buildings that came before it in this remote corner of the world.

The hotel's website states that they have carefully preserved the traditions of the past and revealed a few of the secrets of a land shrouded myth and legends. The nearby Golden City is somewhat duplicated in the facade of this building. Lattice work adorns the walls and balconies. Breakfast is served in a large courtyard where peacocks roam. At night, wandering musicians appear when you least expect being treated to the songs of the desert..

Never reached. Col Visentin you win this round, but i ll be back... With more water

The Panamanian white-faced capuchin is considered a medium-sized monkey (about 3.9 kg or 8 lbs) and relatively long-lived, up to 50 years. They live throughout a number of regions of Costa Rica. Although common, they are not as common, nor as loud as, the much larger howler monkey. Their scientific name, Cebus imitator, literally means 'slender imitator'.

Capuchins are quite smart, too. They have been observed using tools and rubbing themselves with plant material in a manner that suggests medicinal benefits.

Being omnivores and opportunists, these monkeys are not adverse to grabbing fruit on offer at bird feeders. In a previous visit to the country, I was told by our host that a group of them opened a fridge and stole all the eggs that were put in it earlier in the day. It was in an open-air kitchen. The capuchin's ingenuity was on full display that day.

This is probably not the best photo to describe what I'm about to say...

But I once read it somewhere...

"It doesn't matter how strong... or what direction the wind is blowing...

You can always adjust your sail... to reach your destination..."

I'll never forget that quote...

At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun.

The SS Maheno is a famous, rusting shipwreck located on the eastern beach of K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) in Queensland, Australia. Driven ashore by a cyclone in 1935 while being towed to Japan for scrap, the former luxury liner and WWI hospital ship is now a popular, partially buried tourist landmark near Happy Valley.

Get there by 4WD or plane. The last one to come by boat didn't have a great outcome.

Everwinter has changed and i am very impressed. Well done!
