It's been a while since I last uploaded photos, which is because I was focusing on my first semester of college. But now, just as Spring semester is beginning and I finally fixed up my camera, I have found time to take some pictures of the dolls that I purchased during last Fall's doll season! I know a lot of them look similar, but I just had so much fun taking them that I didn't care to pick my most favorites and decided just to upload most of them.
Anyway, hopefully I will be less-inactive this semester, but it felt nice to take some pictures again!
I really think this set is beautiful. They captured Rapunzel's face so much better than some of her other LEs and did a great job on Mother Gothel, as usual. And even though Rapunzel's dress is not as nice as some of her other LE doll's, I still think it's done so well. I honestly love the way these two are situated in the box. Definitely my favorite of the Heroes/Villains line so far! (I really hope that the next set has a Belle/Gaston!)

“Kenneth Grange is Britain’s leading product designer, his prolific career spans over 50 years and he is responsible for designing some of the most iconic and familiar products and appliances that shape our daily lives. Kodak cameras, the silhouette for the Intercity 125 train, Kenwood food mixers, Parker pens, and the re-design of the London black cab are just some of his well-known designs.
In 1972 Grange, together with Alan Fletcher, Theo Crosby, Colin Forbes and Mervyn Kurlansky established Pentagram, a world renowned multi-disciplinary design consultancy. More recently, in the 1990s, Grange has produced distinctive designs that have become part of our landscape, from the Adshel bus shelter in 1993 to the Rural Post box for Royal Mail in 1998. Today Grange continues to work with British companies including Anglepoise, furniture designer Hitch Mylius and fashion designer Margaret Howell.
This exhibition is Kenneth Grange’s first UK retrospective celebrating his work, design journey and the role he has played in making Britain modern. With unique access to the Grange archive, the exhibition includes over 150 products, prototypes, sketches as well as audio, photography and film.”
Earlier this year, Kenneth and I had supper together (with quite a few others, including Jimmy MacDonald director of Tent London, and David Fisher of SeymourPowell) after Kenneth won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards

I met Catherine a few years back when she hired me to do some headshots for the tech company she works at in Cambridge. We got along swimmingly and she's going to be making some big pushes for her freelance design services and she knew she wanted to work with me for her visual images.

She made a fantastic banner out of one of her design pieces and she wanted to be photographed in front of it and it was such a fantastic idea and I'm so glad she did. The best shot of this session was the images of her in front of the banner, also incorporating some of Nashua's fantastic sculptures that are part of the International Sculpture Symposium.

I'm really looking forward to working with Catherine again and again. She wore earrings that were samurai swords. That is totally badass.
