I marched up the muddy hill hoping to find a way in and with luck I spotted a gap underneath one of the fences just big enough for me to go through. I continued trudging through the mud almost falling a couple of times and eventually made it to the fence. I hid in some bushes checking to see if theirs any security around luckily none. It's sad Streamzoo is closing I will really miss this place it's been such a good influence on my life it brought me out of my box made me see the world in a different perspective actually made me go out and see the world. It made me take photography seriously I've met some amazing people who now I call friends almost family so I will never forget this place. I hope their is some way of saving this place if not my last series of photos will be something I've been working real hard on this year I've been exploring abandoned buildings, factories, hospitals, research facilities and monestarys In and around London. Some of these are extremely hard to get in due to on site securities and various obstacles. I've managed to get some truly breathtaking and downright grimey photos. Part one Mise en place Well I thought I would put a story to my pictures this time around just how I found it, how I got in, what I saw what i felt basically my experience. Anyway a couple of weeks ago I was going through some old photos editing some new ones at work and was struck by boredom. I was feeling for a mini adventure a kinda high that I hadn't gotten since I snuck into the heygate estate last June. I said to myself this was going to be difficult and will have a high risk of getting caught as the building is right in the middle of about 2000 acres of land with very few trees so you can imagine I would be easily seen approaching. Now that I had the location it was all about how I was going to get in. I asked the veteran explorer via his guest book how did he get in, a day later I was told off that it's forbidden in the urbex community to ever ask for a location as their are people who use that information for no good I.e. To strip buildings of copper, lead steal valuables etc etc. he gave me various other advice for example never break anything to get in as that is actually a crime as simple trespassing is not also the one piece of advice that stood out "You take only photographs and leave only footprints" but left me clueless of how I was going to get in. #AbandonedWednesday #buildingshotz #GrimeyWorld #DemonDayz #London #ShotTakers #commute #urbex
