Mount Everest
The Biggie! The Everest Base Camp trek ironically gives very few glimpses of this iconic summit on the trek. There are a couple of spots near Namche Bazar & then after Gorak Shep, the last stop prior to the EBC from where you get a peep into this giant. Mount Everest which is ensconced & well hidden behind the Khumbu glacier & Lhotse peak, of course, is a show stopper whenever you get a sudden dekho.
No worries, the giant is still growing at a steady rate of six millimeters a year & should be visible from everywhere on the EBC trek in another ..........

When in Paris, don't skip out on Galeries Lafayette, one of the most high-end supermarkets, located on the 9th arrondissement. The glitz & the glitter of the supermarket is one of it's kind in the world (photographs follow), but the view from its terrace restaurant is equally stunning. The famous tower is, of course, visible, but what catches your eye is the size & magnificence of the Palais Garnier standing right in front of you.
The Palais Garnier, built in the 1870s is one of the most opulent opera houses around. Go check it out personally or just turn the page for an inside "Dekho."
I always try to cheer up kids before taking a picture by making funny voices or weird faces however all my attempts got failed this time as despite of doing everything i couldn't cheer him up.. probably he was so tired of giving posses to all the photographers around him in Pushkar or just wasn't in a good mood because of the way everybody was shouting "hey look at me" "acha mujhey dekho ab" n blah blah..
He was following only his mother's instruction, she was the who was telling him to see right, left, up and down..

This very barbed wire is what separates India and China. I shot this at Nathula Pass at the Indo-China border in the state of Sikkim, India 14200ft above sea level. Whatever you see as the background here is China.
If you tried to crossover, there is a good chance that you'll be shot, yet when i looked above i saw birds flying and crossing over, and i was reminded of what Javed Akhtar once said, that 'Birds,rivers, and the Wind are truly free, how unfortunate we are to be Humans.'
It is at a place like this that the magnitude of the foolishness of our doings becomes apparent. What have we done to our world !!

Taxi Driver is a 1954 Hindi movie produced by Navketan Films. The film is directed by Chetan Anand and stars his brother Dev Anand, Dev's wife to be Kalpana Kartik and Johnny Walker. The film's music director is S. D. Burman and lyrics were written by Sahir Ludhianvi.[1]
A nostalgic journey through 1950s Bombay with its quiet, peaceful and scenic background, electric trams, and a unique taxi driver, Mangal, who is called "Hero" by his friends. A driver who drives a cab by day, then drinks at night, listens to the seductive club dancer Sylvie, and then goes into a drunken stupor - and wakes up with a hangover. One day, while assisting another taxi driver, Mangal comes to the assistance of a damsel in distress Mala, who is being molested by two thugs. Mangal gallantly rescues her, and attempts to take her to her destination, but to no avail, as the person she is looking for has moved. The next day, Mangal and the young woman, Mala, again attempt to seek Ratanlal, a music director, but the entire day is spent in vain. Mala lives in Mangal's tiny apartment and both become attracted to each other. When Mala finds out about Sylvie, she leaves him. He goes in her search, but finds that she has become a famous singer with the help of her music director friend.
Will Mangal ever get a chance to tell about his love for Mala? What will Sylvie's reaction be?

Dev Anand's taxi in the movie was the British made Hillman Minx black car with number 1111. Such became the popularity following the film that the British made Hillman Minx became a vehicle of choice as a taxi in Bombay until the 1970s.[2]
