They call it the Chinese Manhattan. Downtown Flushing in Queens is where the action is. It's crowded. It's dirty. It stinks. But it makes for great street photography location. In Mandarin, Flushing is known as "Falasheng", which is a type of walking stride when one has consumed too much alcohol. No, just kidding.

Neptune inspires but also confuses us. It makes us believe in what isn't true and deny what is. /yeah...it's a horoscope thing again. My horoscope.... well, actually everyone's horoscope is calling for confusion due to the influence of Neptune.
This can't be good. More confusion. Yes, I'm confused. It's become a perpetual state of being, actually. I have questions.
*Why doesn't anything ever get easier?
*Why do I never get anything I plan to get done on my day off done?
*Why are mosquitoes out already and why is it that I can be outside with a group of people and be the only one that gets bitten. Repeatedly. And yes, I got my first mosquito bite today.
*(And then it gets serious because I had too much time to think...)What are my goals?... and when I figure out what they are, how will I attain them... I'm running out of time, you know. (inflicted this conversation on friends at work at Kohls on Monday ...actually, I enjoy driving them crazy.)
*And speaking of running.... why did I once again wait until almost 9 pm to get out there and run? Looks like it's headlamp and flashlight time again.

I suspect that someone at the Maryland Historical Society is a fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
People tell me that my playing is great. That it reminds them of the master Django Reinhardt. What do they know about Djanjo? These people don't know stuff. I tell folks that I play 8 hours a day to get my chops. The truth is I don't practice. I improvise. I make things up as I go. Right now I don't even know what key the band is playing. Nobody cares. Because the truth is Nobody listens. We are just background noise providing some contrived ambiance to this place. You really don't need to like me. I get it.

I found this weeks challenge a little hard as I have had a difficult week with the funeral of my wonderful uncle, came down with a bad cold and some weird and wonderful dreams from important people and places from my life, I woke up yesterday and wondered if these dreams could be trying to tell me something, then I thought of this weeks theme "Reflections" and came to the conclusion that maybe these dreams were telling me it was "Time To Reflect" on my life, so there you are my contribution to this weeks theme. HMM
One must not be entrapped in the uncertainty of the future and the mistakes of the past. Because what one does in the present can completely change the future and bury the past.

Reaching out, moving with a flow of ideas, every minute of every day changing in response to the thoughts that run vividly through her mind. She feels the pastel rainbow of colours have movement like a flashing sign. The embellished gold jewels in the stem also represent a person, who is vibrant and constantly thinking.
Brainature:
A lot of remedies and cures are directly inspired from nature-related events. Penicillin is one of those great examples of learning from nature and working together to create something useful. This is what the artist is trying to trigger with this abstract ''Brainature'' design. Is it coral in the ocean that we should study? Or is it trees on land? To be able to study these unknowns we should go out there and explore! To be able to conduct this vital research, help is needed in every way, shape or form.
Blurred Lines:
A blurred abstract watercolour painting serves as the background, highlighting sections of the brain; highlighting the moments and memories that make up who we are. A growth of iridescent petals, the projection we show the world, casts colourful shadows in its wake. We are multifaceted. We are the idea, the image, and the shadow it casts; the impression it leaves in the mind. When the shadow fades and flickers, what remains of who we are?
