Finally bought some mums for the back yard. This is a very small bud ... about 1" across. We have had a lot of hot weather. Yesterday was one of the first days that felt like fall.

Eyjafjallajökull eruption dust sunset 2010

A stunning disc of smoky quartz is accented by briolettes of orissa garnet and rock crystal quartz. The smoky quartz sits on a hand-forged fine silver ball headpin; all other findings are sterling silver.

Chunky faceted red chalcedony wire wrapped and hung from a very cool handforged bail. Made it myself. Yep.

One of the plants I purchased from Jerry's for my patio. Some flowers with stripes of white and other solid carmen. I'll probably have to move them out of the bright summer sun of my patio.

Deep, dark red faceted briolettes of AAA garnet, are wrapped in sterling silver wire and dangle from my made-by-hand sterling silver elongated earwires. The color is dark and dramatic. Their simple profile and sparkle adds to their drama.
