DPS Assignment: Spot of Colour

Crikey - its soo hot today.... Off to take the kids for a swim...

I like this image... I really like how a spot of colour changes the image.... I think I am going to learn heaps this week.

Day 17. I didn't have to bribe this marmot to pose for the camera. At the top of Kearsarge Pass (which we crossed twice in 24 hours) there is enough human traffic to entice this marmot (and his friends) to make an appearance in hopes of scoring a snack. This guy (?) stood sentinel on top of the pass, thoroughly unconcerned with my presence.

I spent yesterday in Corpus Christi with Corey's family celebrating his brother's 18th birthday. It was an interesting trip :)

There are a few "nevers" on this page - I've never handmade flower embellishments, and I've never printed out a digital element and written on it (journaling spot by Meredith Fenwick). I've also never made such a girly layout for Jack! In my defense, nothing says masculine like a giant mushroom. You can't tell from the photo, but the white cardstock is dotted swiss. To coin the catchphrase of our lecturer - this is real photography... compared to my efforts in the blocks last term for sure. Becky modelled for us in college today and she was a superstar. This is just one of my quick picks from the shoot with a quick bit of post processing to make the background truly black. Looking forward to working through the others over this week...
