This is the iconic white barn at the David Henry Day farm. The farm was built in the 1880's. It is located south of Glen Haven and this barn is considered one of the most photographed barns in Michigan.

So today my minds are with my father! He past away almost 2 years ago.
You past away but my memories still are here. And a person is just gone if we do not think about him anymore. Soon, the 14th of November is your Birthday and i keep our lifetime moments in my heart!

The tracks in the snow are from deer. There isn't a patch of snow without tracts. They feel safe here because it is off trail, so they don't need to worry about people...except for me of course. Down below this ridge, on the other side, I followed some moose tracts, but thankfully I never came across the moose. At that time there was much more snow. The big danger is the unseen deadfall under the snow. It would be easy to break an ankle, leg, or even your back.

A new day in alaska. This is a rare sight in south central Alaska. Because of the El Nino there has been a large storm right off the coast of Alaska. Every once in a while nature gives us a break to let us know that the sun is still there.
