An incredible joy to attend the unveiling of the phenomenal tree carving "The Dance" which features the beautiful figure of "Spirit" as she dances for the Indigenous children, dances for the Indigenous communities, and dances for healing.
You can find her and the beautiful children that stand before her and cast their adoring gaze at her, at the corner of Hurontario and Lakeshore in Port Credit.
This is the first installation of the Aboriginal Arts Walk and a great collaboration with Ward One (Wonderful) Councillor Stephen Dasko, Mary Simpson, Deb Greenfield, Frank Giannone, The Mississaugas of the New Credit, Heritage Mississauga, the City of Mississauga, and the Eagle Spirits of the Great Waters.
The incredibly talented artists and carvers are Sid (Sawmill Sid) Gendron and Richard Posa who expressed a great connection with the earth, the tree, and the need for establishing connection and healing.
Sid indicated at the ceremony that "She called to me and said she wanted to dance. Her first dance will be for the children."
A truly beautiful addition to Mississauga and one that will resonate the message of truth, reconciliation, healing, and dancing.
Nadat de LOCON 9904 de eerste Sziget-express in Bad Bentheim had afgeleverd, werd door de locomotief het ledige materieel voor ‘de tweede Sziget’ in Amersfoort aangebracht. Het is bijna een uur voor vertrektijd, wanneer de foto wordt gemaakt van dit in de keistad arriverende materieel. Aan de haak van de locomotief hangen achtereenvolgens één rijtuig van de Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB), acht rijtuigen van de Duitse chartermaatschappij Euro Express en zeven rijtuigen die gehuurd zijn van de Nationale Maatschappij der Belgische Spoorwegen (NMBS).
Verder zien we op de foto prominent het gebouw van het Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed. Het gebouw is in opdracht van de Rijksgebouwendienst ontworpen door de Spaanse architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg. In het gebouw, dat op 24 juni 2009 officieel door Koningin Beatrix is geopend, bevinden zich onder meer de bibliotheek, het monumentenarchief en collecties foto's en tekeningen.
Uiterst links op de foto is nog een klein deel van het Eemhuis te zien. Het Eemhuis biedt onderdak aan vier culturele instellingen. Bibliotheek Eemland (die tevens eigenaar is van de VW-Transporter links in beeld), Archief Eemland, Scholen in de Kunst en Kunsthal KAdE zijn vanaf 1 mei 2014 samen gehuisvest in dit nieuwe pand aan het Eemplein. Het Eemhuis is het meest opvallende element aan het nieuwe Eemplein. Verder bestaat het plein uit een verzameling obligate winkels en restaurantjes. Zo kan het gebeuren dat de foto verlevendigd wordt door een fraaie koel-/vriesoplegger van de firma Dasko, die zojuist diepvriesproducten bij de plaatselijke Albert Heijn heeft afgeleverd.

182 519-9 heads DGS 43155 Köln Eifeltor - Verona Q.E. south through Himmelstadt at the same time as DGS 43159 from Eifeltor to Vereona is due to pass. However, DGS 43159 was seen three hours later with 182 563 in charge www.flickr.com/photos/37001overseas/30663416400/
Although we appeared to see DGS 43159 the following day and the consist appeared to be very similar to this train:
www.flickr.com/photos/37001overseas/30551251841/ although that could have been an even later running DGS 43155 as we did not spend all day lineside. The one thing that is clear is that this is an Eifeltor - Verona service (hopefully!)
DGS 43155 is seen with Bertschi AG containers, lots of Arcese piggybacks, plus Fercam curtainsiders, Fercam, Paneuropa, Dasko and Gruber piggybacks plus Fralog, EMT and Nothegger piggybacks (3hrs late - due 07:52).
The boat is 'Tauber' heading from DE SCW (Schweinfurt) to BE ANR (Antwerp)
