The Eye That Never Sleeps - Dhormorth by Daniel Arrhakis (2021)

A figure moves slowly in the shadows, like a black cloak that spreads wherever it goes, in a space of time between the past and the future, which few can distinguish amidst the mists of an uncertain destiny.
Dhormorth ... a former guardian and master of the last Dark Sorcerers of Krudhyn, with the power to pass invisible they are only detectable by their shadow ... a dark legend that many prefer to remain lost in the labyrinth of times.
Without a body and much less a face, it seems to move with the breezes of the winter evenings before the storms, insinuating itself into men's thoughts and feeding their most hidden and secret dark desires ... and fears.
Legend has it that the Sorcerers are blind and always walked with a black crow with feathers with highlights of metallic blue, which are their eyes.
Truth or lie... what is certain is that black crows have been seen more frequently in recent times in the kingdom, as bad omens that foreshadow dark times...

Some of their disciples and masters have never revealed their darkest secrets but there are rumors occasionally that they intend to bring to life again an ancient and powerful God King, Krunth or the Winged King who is petrified in his rock tomb.
According to ancient writings it may be resurrected through the Sphere of the Reborn, a mystical orb whose existence is only referred to in Deathor's Black Book ... but they must discover the Temple of the Armillary Spheres of Copper lost in the memories of time ...

In The Labyrinth Of Ichtrys the power of transformation of Ahrghylla materialize in an old Monster of Shadows as the environment freezes in the cave.
Lady of Elche and Ahryadhe had never seen anything like it but one thing they were sure, they were not against an easy rival but the ancient Queen Of The Underworld ... Ahrghylla ... and she is the Regent of Krudhyn !
With a voice hissing like a snake, the monster turning to the two Lady Guardians which however recede a few steps behind:
- Ah! Ah! Do you think that I'm afraid of the Coreoleans Masters or the granddaughter of a Dahrm ... you are ordinary mortals!
- I have seen many bitches as you ! - responds telepathically Ahryadhe without moving his lips, as do all Coreoleans.
The two Ladies recede a little more as they prepare to fight for their own life.
All scenery were constructed, the personages are not real. Several hours on this one ...

The wind howled outside freezing everything in its path as the Spirit of Ehldhora surrounded the old mirror as if it were her lover.

The Castle Of The Mountains Of Khorr better known by the Castle Of Crows in the top of the Dark Mountain.
During the mystic hibernation of the Queen the castle remains inaccessible, guarded by a dragon serpent , an ancient Yogh as the forest beings call her .
The wind is howling as it rises a mysterious fog that seems to involve the old castle ... whispers that call the one that always reigned in the black mountain ... Azadekht ... the ancient name of the Ice Queen.

In Ahylas Monastery is located the tomb of the last King of Krudhyn, murdered along with the Queen on that fateful day before the election of the Regent ... the fire erase almost all memory of events ... the king's body was found but not the Queen that was reduced to ashes.
From time to time a crow comes to the tomb and some monks report the presence of a sinister figure next to him ...

- Was a night like this that the dramatic events have taken ... the night that Dhoryahn disappeared without a trace ... but that's a long and dangerous story ... now I have to go ...

The work was based in a photo i take to the Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Mártires (Church of Our Lady of Martyrs) in Serpa Pinto Street .
Some others elements added like the the balcony and the lamp from other part of Lisbon.
The Personage is the Plague Doctor a personage very typical on Carnival of Venice. All elements modified and the mask /costume was created for this work.
Crow are also the bird symbol of Lisbon and in this work they are symbolized by the mask and the crow flying.

It portrays the pressure imposed by society and the norms that we must obey, in order to be worthy to reside this planet and to be accepted as a respectable person. The suffering state felt by many human beings when they find that to achieve what they desire they often have to cancel themselves, thus bowing down to society. They mix with society because by doing it and being "normal" is the only possible way to have a successful life. While camouflaging in a society that does not respect difference or the true freedom of expression, (as this can be done in countless ways), the identity is canceled, ceasing to feel worthy leading you to believe that your true SELF can not exist and has no value. In this way, "he" creates an acceptable character to survive in "his" day-to-day life.

From the garden obscurity comes a lady with a mask and a red umbrella, enigmatic and furtive.
- She finally arrived ... Lady Catherine is in the property ... my Sister arrived ... and she does not know of my existence ! Just perfect ... I yearned so long for this moment - Thought with an intriguing smile as she looked at the old doors.

And the storms will stir up the oceans and awaken the nightmares of Men, through numbing howls and mountains of ice that rip the seas..
Large ice kingdoms that sail like aimless gods will destroy the black towers that human greed has raised to bleed the earth. And neither Thor nor Poseidon will be able to calm the fury of the waves that fall in the seas of Kalaallit Nunaat nor the restless souls of Atlantis.
But also in the South Seas, in the Gulf of the Black Towers the Hurricanes will wake up again The Oil Monsters that sleep deep and the oceans will become dark as night, dark as death that will cover with its mantle beaches and creatures of the sea.

And the great sandstorms have crossed deserts and oceans, and the dust will cover the folly and greed of mankind hiding their faces and eyes turned to prayers to the heavens who will not listen, for now only hunger and death will hear them.

–– the frightening sensation of being unable to move in a stage between wakefulness and sleep.
(this is dedicated to back in June when I had this weird, creepy dream where I froze completely and at the same time I felt myself going stiff and couldn't move).

Portrays the way that most of us, human beings, live life. The majority of us are just bodies that inhabit the planet earth. We, simply, live in between. Between the desire to ascend, to be what we always aimed for but, now, are afraid of not being capable of and to not meet the expectations that we set ourselves. Thus, we decide to seize to something safe, that doesn’t make us happy.
On the other side, there is the darkest part, the one where no one wants to let themselves fall because probably they won’t come back from it. In it, reside the fears, the more deepest feelings, all that we camouflaged. All that we left to deal with later, was purposely left to sink deeper and deeper, in the hope we wouldn’t have to dive into them again.
So, we decided to live in between both worlds, one that we always wished for and the other that we never even want to experience. We go through life walking in the middle, just and only, existing.

It portrays the state of spirit felt by many human beings. An empty on the inside, where nothing makes sense, making them not knowing where to go, or what to do. Leads them to a state where they do not know who they are anymore, where they stop believing in themselves. It’s like if they were a dry flower, already old, in a field burned by the sun, without life, which allows to be taken by the strong wind, without hesitate, without fighting, because they are not sure if that is their place. Perhaps with the hope to find themselves or an answer during the journey. This state of spirit let the human being without emotions, apathic, allowing life passing right in front of their eyes without trying to grab it. The strenght went with the wind, which tries to show them that they are alive, still. But, not even this shakes helps, because there is no more strenght in them to grab something, where even the simple act of screaming vanished. This beings let themselves being taken and like that every little piece of their being abandon them. In the end, perhaps, it is all fault of the wind.

The Times To Times Nine Old Dark Spirits arise to seize the power of Men and reopen the Pandora's Box.
Of the seven continents appeared Nine Shadows who took the world again to the Mists of the Past, seven War Emperors first and two Incendiary Queens after.
They will ascend on palms by the free will of the peoples and will promise new times and populate the earth with hatred, indifference and lies. They raised the mists of mistrust and fear to cloud the restless spirits and sow hatred.
They will be reborn from the old empires and will raise the old armies again through storms and lands desolated by hunger and misery.
And fanaticism will grow among the stones of the deserts and the words of false scriptures, the doubting of the blind prophets and the oratory of false poets.
The wolf packs will be reunited again to divide kingdoms and to conquer riches while the fires of Rome and the old empires light again.
They will again persecute the righteous and the innocent, imprison and kill the artists and men of words. They will exterminate the creatures of Gaia and set fire to the forests of the last tribes.
But before the ashes the courage will be born again, after the storm clouds the sun's rays will appear and among the fallen flowers will be born again the seeds of a new World that will finally see the Light in all its splendor.
And what was written will not happen because courage and love ultimately lived well in the hearts of Men ... if they want ... and so God wills !

Eles perseguirão novamente os justos e os inocentes, aprisionarão e matarão os artistas e os homens das palavras. Eles irão exterminar as criaturas de Gaia e incendiar as florestas das últimas tribos.
Mas antes das cinzas a coragem nascerá de novo, após as nuvens de tempestade os raios do sol aparecerão e entre as flores caídas nascerão de novo as sementes de um novo Mundo que finalmente verá a Luz em todo o seu esplendor.
E o que foi escrito não acontecerá, porque a coragem e o amor, em última análise, viverão bem no fundo dos corações dos homens ... se eles quiserem ... e assim Deus o desejar!
