El 14 de mayo de 2023 quedará grabado para siempre en la memoria de Daniela Oemus. La atleta alemana, hasta ahora una desconocida (al menos en España) en el mundo del trail running, ha logrado la victoria más importante de su vida al ganar la 22ª edición de la Zegama-Aizkorri, una de las maratones de montaña más importantes y emblemáticas del mundo.

"Zegama es Zegama, dicen, y no puedo estar más de acuerdo. Esta carrera es una leyenda, y ayer las condiciones fueron realmente épicas", expresó en su cuenta de Instagram la corredora de 34 años, que también se mostró sorprendida por el resultado. "Esa victoria de ayer fue todo menos lo que esperaba de mí. Esperaba terminar entre las 10 primeras".
