Secret number twenty eight:
I'm good enough.
I'm smart enough.
And doggone it, people like me.
This secret is for me. I am the one who was surprised by this secret. I had the opportunity to sit with a gentleman the other night who read my birth chart. It was highly informative and highly entertaining. He told me many things that I am still smiling about. Mainly, that I really like myself. He told me that I am quite pleased with myself and that I think I am just the bees knees. : ) I joke about being vain and what not, but he's right. I think I am fan-freaking-tastic. There is no shame in that. I understand that now.

people keep asking how i am doing.
i am fine, honest.
i mean, yes, it has been a miserable year--the worst ever, maybe--but it's almost over.
in the meantime, i can honestly say that i have learned a lot about myself, about others, and in turn, haven't been this hopeful for the future in so long i can't remember.

as an aside, i am not pleased with how these turned out. i mean, it would be a lot more convincing if i actually looked comfortable, eh? le sigh... (and wow, i need a haircut!)
