From the second session with the Keene Family. Dad clearly wasn't feeling the plaid vibe that mom and daughter had. π

Evie and I took a much needed shopping break for a little daddy daughter time at the fountains in Turkey Creek. most of the fountains around town are empty and off but this one did the trick.

I wasnβt there when she was born.
I think I was out geaking out on drugs somewhere in Random Town, California.
How shitty is that? What a piece of shit. What kind of asshole parties when his first daughter is born?
Actually now that Iβm writing this I thoroughly remember it clearly. I was having sex with a random chick that I was casually dating at the time. And I got the phone call (the next day) that she was born.
If you stopped reading now youβd think I was this big whore dick piece of male trash. Maybe you still will or did or always have. I have my haters, believe me. Hereβs a big βsuck my cockβ to all of you! Yay.
But here is the reality⦠brother.
I drove to Wisconsin on a whim to meet this random girl who I met off the fucking Internet. I lived in Connecticut at the time and was 23 years old. Got random girl pregnant upon meeting her. Went back to Connecticut. Got delusional and upset. Came to my realizations. Young. Dumb. The last of carefree was hitting me.
Father?!
Familyman?!
White picket fence?!??!
Tied down!!!!!!!!!?????????
Fuck that random girl in Wisconsin! How dare she get pregnant on our first acquaintance? She promised me she couldnβt. Iβm so dumb. God damn it.
So I packed my shit and moved to California. I told her to follow me after random embryo was born. βCome with me to California,β I said to random impregnated girl. I will get a job and build a home for our future family!
Well random impregnated girl and I didnβt get along so well over the phone. We wound up braking up and not even talking to each other.
She had the random embryo as I was partying my ass off in California. Yeah I held a job and yes I had my own place. But I was 24 years old and discovering my own.
Well, random impregnated girl turned into random mother actually did move to Random Town, California with me. And random mother turned into my actual live-in girlfriend turned out to be a fucking complete living nightmare.
The random nightmare now?
β¦ gone!
β¦and here you have it. Walla!!!
Daddy and daughter taking a self-portrait for Day 289 of this project in the year 2009.
7 years later? This βrandom embryoβ turned into the love of my life I am so proud of has saved my existence. Iβm not dead. Iβm not in jail. Iβm not a loser drug addict. Iβm still a crazy motherfucker β yes. But this little person gives me a reason to continue to have some kind of structure.
The shot at hand? My oldest daughter and I posing sitting on chairs outside of my apartment. Me? Holding a hammer. How male?
Her? Holding a little girl microphone. How girl?
The album below? Itβs so happy, fun, cool, catchy, and otherwise listenable that I totally recommend it to anyone who has smiled today.

Does it almost feel like
nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
you've been here before?

Description
Another from vacation, I know, ho-hum. :~) I keep finding these and can't help but share them.
My little girl absolutely loves everyone, especially her Daddy which I'm so very blessed. Seriously, everyday she comes up to me and Mom at least five times a day (not exaggerating at all) and says "I love you, daddy" in the sweetest voice you've ever heard. I'm in a little competition with her now by saying "I love you more or bunches and bunches more". I know sappy but it's my sappiness. :~)
As for the lyrics, they are from Smile by Uncle Kracker. My kids absolutely love this song as do Mom and I and it became our family / vacation theme song. From Hilton Head, SC to Knoxville, TN it's about a 8 hour drive with toddlers (I've done it in 5Β½ before the kiddies) and I know we played that song 100 times throughout the week and we still love it! In fact, I'm singing it in my head right now. ... β« ohhhh, you make me smile β« :~)
Ok, enough of my sappy stuff it's about time for me to change gears and bring back "Alt Jim" (see my stream for a good laugh) next week. Stay tuned and have a great weekend!
Thanks for viewing!
Jim

We were so excited that daddy joined us at the beach today. We had lots of visitors today that I didn't have a lot of opportunity to take out the camera and shoot. This was the best I got. Slid for slider sunday
When we saw a big cloud of dust rolling our way we decided to go for a drive down to the lake. If you knew me, you would know that I love storms. I'm the kind of girl who dances in the rain instead of running for cover. Literally. So you can imagine that I would be pretty excited when we got down to the lake, and waves were rushing against the shore. The water was the gray/green color it only is when it storms. The wind was blowing, and the sky was grey except for the patch of blue directly above us. We walked out onto the docks that were rising and falling to the rhythm of the waves. It was a storm like no other.

Fear she does not know, but her father she does.
And so she flies.
And so she soars.
And the two celebrate the wedding of her trust and his faithfulness.

Iβm very proud of my son, Jamal 29, who now has his own seed (my Grand Prince Elijah Hunter) that heβs doing an amazing job raising and being a great young very responsible Fit Father. Iβm so happy that my late wife Patricia and I raised both of our kids well and passed the torch to carry out the Hunter Family legacy. Father knows best! β€π―πππͺ
India loved swimming at the hotel pool! Aunt Toni bought her a new costume and an inflatable duck to help her float. Daddy gave India her first lesson in kicking her legs and I think, she made great progress. I wish we had longer at the hotel, so she could gain more confidence, before we go back to learning to swim in the ocean. I am so grateful to Aunt Toni for giving her the opportunity to swim without waves, it made a big difference and she had a lot of fun! #swimming #hotel #fun #DearIndiaRose #learning #getoutside #daddysgirl #daddyanddaughter #IndiaRose #cute #family Thanks for watching Dear India Rose! "What was he thinking about?" you ask. Tools. Power tools. No, this wasn't one of those meditative Hallmark moments, sts. He was actually pricing tools on my laptop while gracefully excepting his shift on kid duty.
What can I say, the man knows how to multi-task.
Still using family-trip-digital-point-and-shoot, unfortunately. Almost there, Nikon, almost there. Just five more months of tight budgeting.
