Wrapping things up for tonight…. Hopefully I can hit the gym tonight, if not, first thing tomorrow morning, and back to the grind again.

Detroit Metro Airport.

This is the Detroit airport @ about 6:00 AM this morning, I had to take a friend of mine to catch a flight and I took a couple pics while I was there.

The in focus ones didn't really capture my imagination (there's barbed wire in the way and whatnot, it looked like I could have driven on the other side of it, but I wasn't brave enough), but I had the foresight to defocus (I tried all the way from all the way de-focused to very slightly de-focused - this one was somewhere in the middle) and try a couple shots that way since I like the effect when I've seen it done, and I was hoping all that blue would come out. Just playing around for the assignment, but I figured I'd upload with the crop and all since it was a fun experiment.

I stuck the camera on top of the car since (as anyone who's listened to me whine lately knows) my tripod is broken, so the lights are reflected in the roof.

A long, illuminated tunnel at Detriot International Airport stretches into the distance. It features blurry silhouettes of people walking along the sides and a central path leading toward a brightly lit exit. The walls are adorned with vibrant orange and white lighting patterns.

As the last Delta employee headed home, we hoped our bus home, the wonderful Michigan Flyer, would be on time and warm. It was, and after 2 hours of snowy darkness, it arrived in East Lansing a tiny bit early. You can't say enough good stuff about the Flyer.

I bid Au Revoir to Detroit and head back to TPA after a very fulfilling 48-hours’ visit. Spirit Airlines is a decent carrier and opting for one of the comfier seats can make for a pleasant flight.
