Macro Mondays - One Word...

The reading is the Introit for the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This occurs forty days after Christmas, on February 2nd, and is also known as Candlemas Day.

Der Eichelhäher gehört zu den mittelgroßen Rabenvögeln.
Vor dem Winter werden umfangreiche Vorräte aus Eicheln und anderen Nussfrüchten angelegt. Der Eichelhäher versteckt sein Futter genauso wie das Eichhörnchen.
Im Gegensatz zum vergesslichen Nagetier kann sich der Vogel seine Futterverstecke merken und gleich mehrere Tausend.

I can't remember when I last saw a telephone booth, let alone one from the UK. I don't know if there is even a telephone in the booth.
O Dedo de Deus (no centro da foto) é um pico com 1 692 metros de altitude e cujo contorno se assemelha a uma mão apontando o dedo indicador para o céu. É um dos vários monumentos geológicos da Serra dos Órgãos, que fica localizada na Serra do Mar, entre as cidades de Petrópolis, Guapimirim e Teresópolis, no estado do Rio de Janeiro, no Brasil.
O pico encontra-se nos limites do Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos, na área territorial de Guapimirim, sendo porém melhor avistado em Teresópolis, e com perfeição a partir do Mirante do Soberbo, localizado na BR-116, na entrada do município.
O montanhismo no Brasil está intimamente ligado à conquista do Dedo de Deus por José Teixeira Guimarães e pelos irmãos Américo de Oliveira (Acácio, Alexandre e Raul Carneiro), todos teresopolitanos, em 9 de abril de 1912.
O pico é um símbolo do estado do Rio de Janeiro, figurando na bandeira e no brasão do mesmo.

The God´s finger (in center of photo) is a peak with 1692 meters of altitude and whose outline resembles a hand pointing the index finger to the sky. It is one of several geological monuments of the “Serra dos Órgãos”, which is located in the “Serra do Mar”, between the cities of Petropolis, Teresopolis, Guapimirim and, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The peak is within the limits of the National Park of the “Serra dos Orgãos”, the land area of Guapimirim, but being best seen in Teresopolis, and perfection from Mirante do Superb, located on US-116, in the city's entrance.
The mountaineering in Brazil is closely linked to the achievement of the God´s finger by José Teixeira Guimarães and the brothers Américo de Oliveira (Acacio, Alexander and Raul Carneiro), all borned in Teresopolis on April 9, 1912.
The peak is a symbol of the state of Rio de Janeiro, appearing on the flag and the coat of the same.
