January always feels like a good time for a bit of a detox... especially after all the holiday food.
We don't have any grass to speak of in our garden, so Phill always grows some in pots for the cats. As the weather has been so sunny of late, he brought it out of the greenhouse. They have all had a munch on it, including our neighbour's cats. Ray even peeled himself off his bed by the radiator to have a quick detox

Prometí a una muy querida amiga que el próximo still life culinario sería un detox dedicado a ella (es preciosa y se cuida muy bien, pero, vamos..., que... en verano todas y todos nos pasamos pelín)
El susodicho lleva apio, espinacas, pepino, limón, manzana y, a falta de aguacate, ingrediente de la versión original, he añadido mango (excelente, también, por sus propiedades), yogur y sirope de agave.

Like many birds, cuckoos eat insects, spiders, worms, and caterpillars. However, there are some caterpillars that absorb toxins from the plants they eat, becoming toxic themselves. Most birds have learned to avoid these critters, but not the cuckoo. They don't let something as trifling as deadly poison keep them from their tasty meal. They simply bite the caterpillar's head off, and then shake the body to expel the toxins before swallowing it down. Many of these caterpillars are covered with barbed hairs, but that's no problem for the cuckoo either. They periodically shed their stomach lining, embedded barbed hairs and all, and regurgitates it as a pellet.

officially we have summer now. Temperature is stable around 45" degrees C everyday, it may be hit more on August :D. Time to find something fresh from our fridge or you have any suggestion for me :).
