Just a box of dust now

I miss my dad

This dad is taking care of his two grackle babies. They're big enough and old enough to feed themselves and often do but as long as dad is willing to cater to them they will take advantage of it.

I never had a close relationship with my father. He died in 2014.

One of my childhood memories is that we used to watch a documentary together every friday night. It was at a time when there were only 3 TV channels out there.. *smile* ... now you know that I must be quite old .. but TV already was in color *grins*

What's left is my love for documentaries bout nature, sience, travels ... and the fragrance of the vanilla tobacco of that pipe...

I think he's had enough me!

Cadyn, myself, and our SL son, JJ, on our home sim.

Cadyn & I met online in SL in 2010 and have been together ever since. We'll be celebrating our 6th anniversary in Jan, 2017. We're together in RL as well

Bringing in breakfast for chicks in the nest box. Taken with a Sony a7r4, Sony 200-600 lens with 1.4X and using the in camera 1.5 crop. I also cropped the final image by about 40%. There is no doubt in my mind about the performance of this camera system.

He wasn't happy with my being in the garden hoping to catch the cubs playing and barked at me until I went inside. This was taken from inside my house and I still felt guilty..

Fairly well hidden except for that eye, but an unappealing bit of lighter sky, left corner. Photoshop and I are not friendly, yet. I have not grasped masking, nor do I like Lightroom. Sigh...

Thank-you to all who take the time to comment on my photos, it is greatly appreciated!

Atop the Nuremberg Imperial Castle

My month away brought me back here after 11 years, thrilled to reunite with Dad! He's in the background and that is one of his two horses.

I spent yesterday remembering Dad, at one of his favourite parks. Before he went on ahead in 2000, he suggested that we could honour him by taking the grandkids out for ice cream. We continued that tradition yesterday on his birthday. It's good to remember those we've loved and those who've loved us.

My hero...♥

~Elisabeth & Samuel~

I find it absolutely wonderful that my Dad bought orchids sometime in the 90's and neglected them so much they thrived. Their colours seem to change each year.

Came across this image from '19 while hunting for the Lightwing photos I will share shortly. I have invited my friend Tui to do a dawn or dusk shoot on the roundabout that has an amazing $900,000 steel sculpture on it. Watch this space I will share more soon.

Oh and I also have a booking to have a projection show in an old church in Palmerston North with my brother Sean who has been running them with his friend for a while now. I am super excited. But I need to get a strategy and I suspect a story line or a point to put across.

Suggestions welcome. Many thanks. I look forward to your help. Ha ha. I definitely need help. Although it must be said in the past I have been terrible at asking. I think this is something I should probably change.

Thanks for listening/reading what ever it is you are here with me and I say a big thanks and send you rays of sunny goodness to fill your noggin/soul with.

I heard yesterday that there are two types of confidence. One is the confidence you show others. The others your/my inner confidence. How much I believe in myself. How much I let others determine my next actions. Confidence in my ability to hold it together through what ever life throws.

It helped to put it like this made me see how important self talk is and that I should back myself more. Trust my intuition.

OK rant over. Thanks again. Big love coming out to all of you xx

Happy Father's Day to all the dads (and grandpas) out there!
