Renzi spiato ma il fedelissimo Marco Carrai ancora disoccupato dopo che la CIA ha posto il veto alla sua nomina a consulente di Palazzo Chigi per la cybersecurity. Il veto Usa sarebbe dovuto ai rapporti stretti che Carrai avrebbe con Israele e con la sua intelligence in termini sia di amicizie che di rapporti economici. Alcune delle società riconducibili a Carrai vedrebbero come soci anche uomini di affari ed "ex agenti dei servizi israeliani". Contestate a Carrai anche alcune amicizie pesanti. Da Michael Ledeen, "già finito in un'inchiesta dell'Fbi che ha individuato e smantellato una rete di agenti legata al Mossad intenta a sottrarre documenti riservati del Pentagono" a "l'attuale ambasciatore di Israele a Roma Noar Gilon" fino a al primo ministro Benjamin Netanyahu "al quale proprio Carrai ha organizzato la visita in Italia e l'incontro fiorentino con il premier Matteo Renzi".
