The rocket-ship sped through star-studded space, landing safely on Earth with its precious burden, Krypton's sole survivor.

A passing farmer and his wife found the uninjured child, and adopted him as one of their own. As the years went by and the child grew to maturity, he found himself possessed of amazing physical powers.

As I mentions before, the narration was taken from the 1940's Fleshier Superman cartoons, but I took creative liberties and modified the second stanza from the original context, in which Clark is found by a passing motorist and taken to an orphanage, to vaguely include Clark's discovery and upbringing by the Kents, a plot point that was never discussed in the original cartoons.

In the endless reaches of the universe, there once existed a planet known as Krypton, a planet that burned like a green star in the distant heavens. There civilization was far advanced, and it brought forth a race of superman, whose mental and physical powers were developed to the absolute peak of human perfection.

But, there came a day when giant quakes threatened to destroy Krypton forever! One of the planet's leading scientist, sensing the approach of doom, placed his infant son in a small rocket-ship, and sent it hurtling in the direction of the Earth, just as Krypton exploded!

If the narration looks familiar, it's because it was taken from the longer intro of the Fleshier Superman cartoons of the 1940's. It took me several shots with variations of lighting and angle to get it to where I was satisfied, and even if the entire set is not shown, I felt this one was the most dynamic of the lot.

This was one nice Mercedes replica, and it's only just a bit older than the black one I uploaded on June 28. Blue and white work well together on this, and judging by the number plate it is a replica of a 1935 SSK. CarJam says it is scratch built and was built in New Zealand.
