Belgian coachbuilders ATK work closely together with Renault in creating custom-built trucks to exact specifiactions of the customers. Using a Renault D-Range as base, they create special vehicles with a very low gravity point as one of their main selling factors.
The trucks can have a total weight of either 10, 12, 14 or 16 tons, with the one seen here being a 16-tonner, as reflected in the model name.
This specific vehicle was built as a fish/seafood sales truck for Aarhus company JJ Fisk. It can also be seen on the website of ATK, where it is used as one of their references.
Going up the steep hill leading sw out of Aarhus past Viby and Stautrup. Underpowered and/or heavily loaded trucks often struggle here.
Tip: to locate trucks of particular interest to you, check my collections page, "truck collection" (www.flickr.com/photos/lavulv/collections/72157684190396672/ ) - here you will find all trucks organized in more than 1800 albums, by haulier (with zip-codes), year, brand and country.
Retirement age for trucks: many used trucks are offered for sale on international markets. If sold to a foreign buyer, this will not be listed in the danish motor registry, so a "retired" truck may or may not have been exported. In other words, the "retirement age" only shows the age, at which the truck stopped running on danish license plates.
This is my sixth build for the second round of the Iron Forge 2025. I have built two functioning Den-den Daiko, or double-ended drums, which i believe is a Japanese hand-held pellet drum.
The seed part, a minifigure head, was used 11 times per drum. Two black ones for the pellets and 9 rainbow colours for the rim. Only 18 out of 22 heads are visible on the photo.
I will probably upload a video of one in action soon as its quite fun to play with!
Added Brickstuff's lights to show off some details.
The house is closed in this image; posted other photos of it all opened up.
My fifth entry for the Iron Forge 2025! I had a lot of fun with this one, both in building and while editing the photo.
The seed part for this round is any one-wheel mudguard, of which I used 21 in this build: two each in the bumper cars, and an additional thirteen in the bunting

Custom-built 2014 T-Series Scania, based on a Series 6 R 730. Imported when 3 months old, which probably covers the time spent building it.

A custom-built art car with a sleek, polished metallic body, reflecting the creative engineering behind this futuristic vehicle. Captured during the Trunk or Treat event in the Meadow Gold District of Tulsa on October 26, 2024, this car showcases unique, rounded design elements that make it stand out in the crowd. Taken on expired Fuji Sensia 100 film with a Nikon FG-20, the image highlights both the innovative craftsmanship and nostalgic charm of this one-of-a-kind automobile.

Took out my Wing Zero MG for an early morning photoshoot at Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Penang. Took 2 sets of 5 bracketed shots, one with the Gunpla and another one without. Then i layered these shots together and erase the stand where the Gunpla was supported.
My own recreation of the iconic house from the film "Coraline" in Lego. Submitted to Lego Ideas for consideration in producing a commercially available set.

My sixth entry for the final round of the Iron Forge 2025! Sir Pricklesworth is a bit of a sillier entry but the competition is fierce, so I'm not going down without a fight!
9 seed parts used.
Took me 5 weeks to build this, including a lot of customizations. Shot with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 under natural sunlight.
This 3 wheeled, upside down, wooden boat car was parked in Old Portsmouth.
Owned by Topher Dawson
Taken on the Scott Kelby World Wide Photo Day 2010
Based on a Citroen 2CV it had a brass plate on the front (bow?) which read
"C W Dawson Boat Builder Scoraig"
Fantastically stylish everyone walking past stopped for a look.
It was highly polished and varnished and absolutely gleamed in the bright sunlight.
More people were interested in this 3 wheeled car than the £40k BMW's and Merc's around it.
It had more character than anything else in the car park - no matter what other cars were there.
There is another 2CV visible through the windscreen
My seventh build for round two of the Iron Forge 2025!
The seed part, a minifigure head, was used five times (really! 😉)

So I'm finally settled in Sydney and ready to start uploading again!
Here is my new PC that I built a few days ago, I'm seriously head over heels in love with it. The specs for anyone interested are:
NZXT Noctis 450
Intel Core i7-7700 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
CRYORIG H7
Asus STRIX H270F
Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB DDR4-3000 Memory
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
2 x Western Digital Blue 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card
Corsair RMx 650W
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
5 x be quiet! SilentWings 3 40mm Fan
Corsair STRAFE RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard
Logitech Z333 40W 2.1ch Speakers
NZXT Hue+ RGB Lighting Kit
NZXT Griv+ V2
I haven't installed the NZXT Hue+ yet as I don't have enough internal USB 2.0 ports and need to get an adapter first. I haven't really done anything labor intensive yet but the few tasks I have done, it has handled it so much faster and easier than my old PC.
Once I get some days off from work I will edit and upload some of my shots from around Sydney.
Custom-painted/build. 6 weeks to build this kit. shot with NIkon D80 with umbrella diffused SB600 at full intensity on the left and another one right, diffused with white translucent plastic and intensity reduced to 1/4
A little frog built made for #Frogust. Special thanks to Maxx Davidson for willing Frogust into existence about... yesterday? And for giving me the inspiration to sit down and build something for the first time in a good many weeks! I made this little guy yesterday after work, so technically still August.. Just wanted to wait till the morning light to get a nice photo.
