This sweet girl came to me "lightly" customized and normally I don't work on dolls already modified but she was very gently carved so I considered it and took the challenge.
Her base doll is a Miss Sally Rice translucent Blythe, and she is very happy to be traveling back to Spain to reunite with her mom again soon! Hope you all love her!

Autumn Transport would have provided lettering - their own lettering was on the previous truck. However, I wanted to do something special with this truck. The Logo file that Autumn provided me with wasn't really workable in terms of what the lettering people could use to achieve what I wanted, so I created my version of their logo (as you see here) in a freeware image program (Gimp) that the lettering people could use.
The main thing I wanted to achieve was the shadowing of the main lettering, and the use of the reflective metallic material.

I made up a set of AT Helicopter Pontoons from PVC pipe & some wall mount cable clips. The hardest part was painting them yellow. Can someone tell me why it is that yellow sprays like water?

The Aristocrat and Aristocrat Custom Built models were fitted with what Buescher called the "Acouta-Bell".
Buescher claimed it made its trumpet and cornet bells with a special proprietary manufacturing process that used a secret brass formula.
However the rims of the Aristocrat Custom Built bells were not made in the same way. The roll at the bell's rim is smaller, and there is a narrow, flat band of metal running around the circumference of the bell just behind the rim's rolled edge.
The rims on Buescher's earlier trumpet and cornet bells, including the Aristocrat, was larger and lacked the narrow reinforcing band.

This girl right here is the first SBL (mold) Blythe I customize, even though I normally don't work on them because of the reputation they have of being hard to open. Well she came to me and I decided to give it a try and I have to say I am in love with this mold (although I won't be commissioning any more SBLs I will definitely be working on this mold some more in the future).
The base doll is Superior Skate Date, she came to me in her original box but her hair was still matted and looked damage so she got the usual work plus a hair treatment and haircut :) 2 pairs of eye chips are from digital prints and 2 are hand painted by me.
She will be traveling to Germany soon! Special thanks to her mom for her trust and patience!
