I'm into factory stock cars, and not so much into customs, but, I decided to build one. At first, I considered to build a '57 Ford, or a '59 Galaxie, but I only have one kit of each, and I want a factory stock version of each. Like I have more two Edsel kits, I decided to use one to build my idea of what a custom should look. NO big inch rims, NO Chevy engine, NO high tech stuff, NO graphics, or ugly non factory style two tone jobs, and nothing irreversible, so the car is not ruined, and can be returned to stock any time.
The paint on this Edsel is two coats of clear red over a gold base followed by two coats of pearl clear by Tamiya. This kit is a Customshop AMT that I repainted, and not a regular kit, so I only painted the parts customized.
Here is my newest custom girl. She is the character behind my online screen name Alec. The lovely Myu Fish did a fabulous job on her faceup. I'm so so in love with her and what a great job she did!

At Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Ole’ School Chopper Show... It kicks off the week of custom bike shows and serves as a showcase for good ol’ American ingenuity. Bikes with open belt primaries, rattle can paint jobs, jockey shifters, foot clutches, chopped fenders, and pinstripping are the standard instead of the exception.
In front of the shop, Roadside Marty worked the crowd while people squeezed in to get a closer look at the sleds. Among the masses was custom builder Jason Grimes who was milling about checking out the crazy collection. The smell of BBQ smoke filled the air out back as others enjoyed beer and the tunes. My last girl of 2017 is here!!! She's actually been waiting for her turn to shine since November, but we were waiting for the rest of her eye chips, so she's happy to be awake and ready to fly back home to New York.
Her base doll is a Simple Bubble Boom FBL, she has 1 pair of handpainted eye chips by me and 3 pairs of Puppelina eye chips. Her mom mentioned her favorite pattern is gray background with white polka dots, so I decided to add a little accent heart to match her hair as well.
She was made with lots of love so I hope you love her, and I hope she brings her momma lots of joy!
