The curves of the Yellowstone River around Calcite Springs at the base of Bumpus Butte along with the complimenting curls and curves of this ponderosa pine tree root along the cliff caught my eye.

"Zunächst entsteht Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts tatsächlich eine Kirche. Im Stil des Barock errichtet Carl von Gontard unter Friedrich II. zwei prächtige Kuppelbauten auf den beiden Kirchen, welche nur repräsentative Schmuckwerke sind.
(...) 1943 durch einen Brand zerstört, steht zunächst lange nur die Ruine des Deutschen Domes. Erst zwischen 1982 und 1996 wird das Gebäude in Etappen wieder aufgebaut.
Heute beherbergt der Deutsche Dom die Ausstellung des deutsche Bundestages Wege – Irrwege – Umwege. Interaktiv und spielerisch zeigt die Ausstellung auf fünf Etagen die wechselhafte Geschichte des parlamentarischen Systems von der Märzrevolution 1848 bis heute." visitBerlin.de

"Chilehaus is a ten-storey office building constructed in the Brick Expressionist style. The huge structure, which has a 5,950-square-metre footprint and offers 36,000 square metres of space, spans Fischertwiete. Its distinctive façades meet to form a prominent tip – the sharpest angle of its type in Europe – that creates the effect of an imposing ship’s prow.
The curved exterior makes the building appear light and graceful despite its size, while the bricks of the carefully crafted clinker façade shimmer in different shades depending on the weather. Chilehaus is especially impressive when it is illuminated at night, shining majestically in all its splendour." chilehaus.de
A slightly different take on the dunes at White Sands. Instead of over-exposing the dunes, I wanted to see what they would look like at a distance with no compensation. This is right before last light when they turned almost purple.
