I saw this couple with their backs to me looking out to sea as if deep in conversation with one another! I settled down and waited for this shot for what seemed an eternity. One would quickly glance back towards me out of curiosity, then the other but not at the same time. Eventually, they took pity on me and my aching back!

Curiosity getting the better of this female. So many of the animals I got close to made eye contact and held it. I was totally surprised by this. This buffalo was quite a distance away, so, she was just interested in my camera.
If you already have a feeling of déjà vu, yes I posted the first shot in this triptych recently and then realised that the 3 shots I managed before a passer-by sneezed loudly, would make a sequence.

While the rest of the white-tailed deer in the herd were busy grazing, this little one seemed to be extremely curious when she saw me. In fact, she was actually taking tentative steps in my direction when this shot was taken. It wasn't long though, before some of the others became wary of my presence, and when one of them bolted, all of them, including this little one, quickly bounded away in unison.
Two common South African species meet at the watering hole. Impala (Aepyceros melampus) and Cape turtle dove (Streptopelia capicola). Madikwe Game Reserve, North-West Province, South Africa. Conservation status: least concern

Neighbours do like to spy on each other, don't they? The one on the left is doing something strange with his feelers. A minute later, he almost had a handlebar moustache before putting them back to normal :)
