I can't see the woods for the trees! This expression is used when a person gets so caught up in the details that you can't see the big pucture. So in this hectic season, remember what's important.
Caught another gorgeous sunset last night, hope I am not boring you, I just can't resist that beautiful light. Had trouble coming up with a name so the location will have to do for now. Best wishes to all.
Things are looking a little crowded in this agave flower. Not exactly sure why I like this image, but i do. I think this flower is in a pre-bloom state. Eventually I think those green bits open up. Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden

The Temple of Heaven
is an imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing.
The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest.

We were extremely fortunate to experience the Sanja Matsuri traditional Festival on the weekend we stayed in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. The crowd was very active; here is a group of spectators on the steps of the temple.

The Minolta Alpha 7 has an STF mode which shoots 7 shots on one frame changing the aperture and shutter speed for each to alter the look of the bokeh. I figured this could be interesting with moving subjects.
