Blue Planet Run Foundation's mission is to solve the global problem of lack of safe drinking water.
Description of the project/solution:
The Blue Planet Run Foundation channels funds raised into the most promising water projects around the world via our Peer Water Exchange (PWX), an online peer review system which enables water project implementers and funders to submit, review and select projects, share knowledge and measure the tangible impact of our joint efforts to provide hundreds of millions of people with safe drinking water.
Since 2004, the Blue Planet Run Foundation has funded 24 non-governmental organizations worldwide which have in turn implemented 184 sustainable water projects in 18 countries impacting thousands and thousands of lives.
We raise funds for PWX in a variety of ways but most notably 2007 Relay Around the World. On a local scale we provide resources, information, ideas and contacts for creating events to raise awareness and funds to help solve the water crisis.
