Location SS4 1RS (UK).
On 1st March 2013, I visited Holt Farm Junior School, in Rochford, Essex. It was great fun presenting the 'Edutainment' slideshow and talking to the children about my books and answering questions about reading and writing before signing all the books at the very end.

White is the colour of the saddest world,
The white of sick reflecting glazed tiles
Of an infirmary. On a bed I’m curled
And when I wake up there’s no one that smiles.
Sleeping – the golden dream – is an escape
I have almost forgot. Music avails
To take away the idleness, to scrape
The flaked painting, beating in the nails.
But the colour is white; if I recall
The hues of summer, they are all but white.
India’s on fire in colours during fall
And reds and browns of winter are so bright.
Even my skin is pale, I am a flayed bole
I hide waiting for summer; I’m spying through a hole.
