Can art be money? Can money be a form of art?
By now, you may have heard about Seedstock, Vancouver's first community currency being launched this summer (www.seedstock.ca). Seedstock is money created by the community, for the community. It sticks around and goes 'round, and will serve to strengthen three pillars of a vibrant and sustainable local economy: food, arts, and health.

Artist Statement
The Same Walk, Different Weather explores how inner states transform identical moments into entirely different experiences.
The figure moves forward in both frames, unchanged in posture or direction, yet altered by the atmosphere that surrounds them. Rain becomes the equalizing force—present in both scenes—but light determines its meaning. In one, it weighs. In the other, it releases.
I am drawn to the quiet repetition of human movement: how we continue walking even as our internal climate shifts. This work resists the idea of resolution. There is no before and after—only parallel truths existing at once.
By dividing the image, I invite the viewer to consider how perception, not circumstance, defines experience. The body remembers the path. The weather decides how it feels.
This piece is part of my ongoing practice of using restraint, repetition, and environmental contrast to speak about emotional continuity rather than change.
