Can art be money? Can money be a form of art?
By now, you may have heard about Seedstock, Vancouver's first community currency being launched this summer (www.seedstock.ca). Seedstock is money created by the community, for the community. It sticks around and goes 'round, and will serve to strengthen three pillars of a vibrant and sustainable local economy: food, arts, and health.

Artist Statement
This work exists in the pause between decision and consequence.
She Waited Until the Dark Learned Her Name explores the moment when solitude becomes agency. The figure stands at the edge of departure, framed by walls that no longer contain her and a path that does not yet reveal itself. Light enters reluctantly, as if unsure whether it is welcome.
I am drawn to transitional spaces—alleys, thresholds, margins—because they are where identity loosens its grip. The figure is not lost, nor is she arriving. She is choosing when to be seen.
Darkness here is not absence. It is permission.

Reach is a large-scale interactive mural and musical instrument created for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh as part of the Tough Art residency program.
There are no visible electronics, but when users touch both the moon and a star (either alone or by holding hands with others) a tone is played.
