Democracy and Authenticity: How Crowdsourcing is Changing Content for design -- The creation and usage of content has changed dramatically over the last few years. Technology has drastically changed an advertiser's media mix as well as underlying content needs and production for design. The age of user generated content has not only changed the shape of supply and demand but has also influenced the aesthetic of the content itself. As advertisers and designers strive to find more effective ways to engage with their audience we've seen the consumers themselves employed as both the transmitters and creators of that visual material. In this seminar Andrew Delaney, Head of Content, Getty Images, examined how crowd-sourced imagery is influencing today's visual language and the impact it is having on design and advertising.
