Thimphu Dzong, officially known as Tashichho Dzong, is a significant landmark in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
The dzong was initially constructed in 1641 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the unifier of Bhutan. It has since been the seat of the Bhutanese government and the monastic body.
