Hares About Town is a spectacular public art event that will weave its way across Southend this summer. Huge hare sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist, All the Hares are to be auctioned for local Fair Havens Hospices. This Hare is outside Rossis ice cream parlour.
It is to hot to work The only thing I want to do is eat ice cream.

This was taken at my favorite garden, Point Defiance Park, Tacoma, Washington. This is a terrific park with wonderful gardens, as well as a zoo/aquarium, beach area, 5-mile drive that overlooks Puget Sound and the Narrows, and hiking trails throughout!. What a beautiful area! Definitely worth your attention!

Yesterday, we explored the area around the Avon Dam for the first time. We chose a nice circular walk starting from Shipley bridge and following the beautiful river Avon upstream towards the dam. We had a nice picnic overlooking the impressive body of water then headed back uphill across open moorland. This path led us past Rider's Rings, a fascinating Bronze Age settlement similar to Grimspound and eventually the superbly situated Black Tor before heading back for a well earned ice cream.
I usually try to avoid taking photos in portrait format but my lens is not wide-angle enough to fit all of that scenery in landscape ;-)
This is definitely my favourite theme, I love an ice cream!
This is one of my favourites too, a whippy ice cream with a chocolate flake.
Vanilla ice cream brand "Royal Food". Cooking is very simple: 300 ml of milk for the contents of the package is whipped with a mixer. Pour into a suitable dish and put in the freezer for 4 hours. Decorated with wafer tubes, I added chocolate chips to one cup, chocolate topping to another cup. In a small cup of coffee, too, ice cream. Delicious!

…… And not any old cream - Cornish Clotted cream! Not for me I hasten to add, Jill picked them for her tea. I’m actually on sips of water only & feeing very rotten!! It was all I could do to take my #161 shot of the day - every bone aches so commenting will probably non existent. Taken on my Phone in Apple RAW & minimal editing in Lightroom. Alan:-)

These beautiful cloisters lead to one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe – which is still serving the public more than 700 years after it was founded. It’s part of the Franciscan monastery in Dubrovnik’s Old Town, in Croatia.
It was founded in 1317 as an in-house pharmacy for the Franciscan friars, but was later expanded to embrace all Dubrovnik’s townspeople.
Today the peaceful cloisters, and the courtyard they surround, are a welcome release from the tourist trail. And, extraordinarily, the pharmacy is still a going concern, offering products and remedies which are made according to ancient Franciscan recipes. Not least among the temptations on offer are skin creams made from local wild herbs.
