Was heading out yesterday early to meet some buddies for fishing. We had arranged to meet at a motorway services & as i'm driving heading out to the services at Abington - the most amazing sun rise is happening. It was a technicolour, psychedelic mass of over the top shades of red & blue. One of the best and craziest I've ever witnessed.

As with all sunrises the sweet spot only lasted a few minutes & it was all but over by the time i could pull over at the services.

I managed to catch the aftermath from the car park of the services just before 8.00.

Do you remember when we first met? I sure do

It was some time in early September

Though you were lazy about it, you made me wait around

I was so crazy about you, I didn't mind

So I was late for class, I locked my bike to yours

It wasn't hard to find, you'd painted flowers on

Guess that I was afraid that if you rolled away

You might not roll back my direction real soon

Well, I was crazy about you then and now

The craziest thing of all, over ten years have gone by

And you're still mine, we're locked in time

Crazy water for sure. The spiral you see started yo grow and continued to grow in that spiral effect. I was standing on bridge when I saw some of the craziest water colours ever. I couldn't believe my eyes. This is just the begining. It spiraled and grew to about 5x this size. The center a white piece that expanded. I posted a similar one awhile back and someone suggest that someone possibly threw a slice of pizza in the water. Could explaine the colour (oil) and the center growing as bread/crust expanded and I passed at the right time.

(I am still not home and not able to comment like I wish I could. Hopefully back soon. Happy Day

Bluebell, the happiest craziest dog on the planet totally getting into character for the sombre mood of this image.Taken yesterday on a lovely day out on the Norfolk Coast.I think she stood there for ten seconds and then she was off :)

Phil Elverum's birthday was actually Tues. but I didn't realize I had put it in my calendar wrong until late last night. I have been following his music for almost 20 years and recently saw him speak about his career at the Old Town School of Folk Music as part of Humanities Fest. My craziest time seeing him was actually a little over a year ago at Thalia Hall. I was on my way there when my bicycle got stuck in a groove in the street where two slabs of concrete didn't meet perfectly and I crashed pretty hard. I had to convince a random person not to call an ambulance so that I could keep biking the 2 miles left to the show and the 6 miles back home. I showed up bloody with half of my clothes missing, which really is taking "distressed" fashion to a new height. I am stubborn but hey I didn't end up with a $1500 ambulance bill (the copay in America when you have health insurance) or a hospital bill on top of it and I did enjoy that night of music. I still can't feel a good section of my left arm but, well, bodies are silly.

The tour that this is from was Wind's Poem and you can listen to that album here..it's like slow core indie metal and it's fun to bike too when you're in the middle of a storm in the woods, too.

Another of my favorite photos of 2019 is this one.

Dexter is our youngest and craziest :) cat in the tribe.

Rufus seemed to be a very complicated name for a little cat, so he soon received another name: Dexter.

And because my daughter is very busy at work, and he should stay 10-12 hours alone, she decided that the best place for Dexter is amongst his friends, the cats, and dogs, here at home.

I only had time at one evening to take LE photos for this theme and wandered through the city centre with my tripod, getting some funny remarks from passersby ...

On my way back I went to the Center for Art and Media (ZKM zkm.de/en/the-zkm) (again) to take some experimental photos with my fish eye zoom lens.

Here you can see a 25 seconds shot where I slowly zoomed in and out after a few seconds - the blue building is the cube of the ZKM.

This image might be lacking technical perfection, but it is one of the craziest photos I took that evening : )))

The fastest, the most colorful, the craziest aurora borealis I have ever seen. March 5th, in Abisko national park, Sweden.

Just did a fun pelagic with 12 friends out of Tofino had 2 young birders on board and they got 4 lifers and a few adults got a couple as well. There was no lifers for me but always a joy to be out on the water and see great birds like Flesh-footed and Short-tailed and Buller's Shearwaters but my fave of the day was the Black-footed Albatross. I am always in awe of their incredible wing span and subtle beauty and cute cries as they tear into rockfish!. We saw over 100 of them yesterday behind a fishing boat. Marine mammals we saw were Northern Fur Seal, Humpback Whales, Dall's and Harbour porpoises and adorable Sea Otters and Steller's and California Sea Lions. Believe it or not the craziest bird of the day was a Sandhill Crane in pelagic waters!

The craziest most apocalyptic scene I've ever seen. Dark clouds, mixed with smoke, and the sun trying to come out. Note, this was between one and two in the afternoon. The smoke actually got worse a little while later.

If you want to make friends with an Icelandic ..... never call an Icelandic horse a pony .... there isn't even that word in Icelandic.

Icelandic horses look extremely charming and, compared to other horses, rather childishly, in fact they are realy strong, they can survive the harshest winters, the biggest hurricanes and the craziest snowstorms without any effort. In addition, they are so incredibly friendly and gentle that it is impossible not to adore them.

These Canada geese are enjoying the calm before the storm here in Winneshiek County today. I do have to say this is the craziest weather day I've ever experienced - and I hope it never happens again. The air temperature rose to a record-setting 68 F (20 C) this afternoon. The previous high temperature ever recorded here in Decorah for any day in December over 130 years of record keeping was 65 F, so this heat was unprecedented. To top that off, severe thunderstorms rolled through the county this evening and I was hunkered down in a storm shelter for an hour as several tornados passed through the area. I don't know what damage might have been done at this time but wind gusts here hit 80 mph. We live close to the Minnesota border where there's never been a tornado in December before but they got a boatload of them tonight. Unbelievable! Unfortunately, this is global warming at its worst.

And if I am seized with the desire to get away Lock me in and throw away the key

Using memory injections

Tell me what I am called

If ever I forget the nights I spent

The guitars and the screams

Remind me who am I

And why I am alive

If ever I forget how to run away

And yet, if I do flee

Remind me who am I

And what I had promised myself

Remind me about my craziest dreams

Remind me about those tears on my cheeks

And whether I have forgotten

How much I loved to sing

Chorus:

If ever I forget the nights I spent

This has to be by far the craziest thing I have ever seen, and no I'm not high. There was all sorts of beautiful piece flowing down stream when this bread like thing came from nowhere. Crocosmia leaves in frost.

This was taken in my garden last week after a hard frost - one of the first we have had. If last year was anything to go by, we may not have many.

I just liked the shapes, colours and textures. It’s difficult to make an image like this interesting though. It helps if you have some contrast in shape, colour or… something.

Contrasts are important in photographic composition, and there are so many types! What fun…

So what contrasts do you see here? I ask because we are all different in our visual make-up and I find that interesting.

But I digress. This is for Crazy Tuesday’s Textures theme this week. What a great idea!

There is also a mono version for my 100x Way Behind challenge. Mono is good for textures but I think I prefer the colour as there are more contrasts to add interest. An interesting experiment though, which is what it is all about.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Craziest of Tuesdays :)

Here's a view for all you deadheads, musical, or in the transportation field. Amtrak train fifty-seven, the Floridian takes pause at the former Monon South Hammond yard office. What a great way to start off the day!

I began photographing at 5:15am right when things were just starting to get rocking. The sunrise colors were some of the craziest I have ever seen and the lightning was abundant. Loud thunder, strong winds, a rainbow, and huge raindrops were all part of the show too.

I just love photographing these beautiful and somewhat wacky flowers. This one makes me think of a quirky character in a Lewis Carroll novel. And, if I go with the pareidolia aspect, I also see a rather regal purple-faced cat with the craziest eye-lashes and wearing a funky crown. :-)

Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends! Closing out the Allegheny theme we see what was probably the craziest lashup I ever found on this operation. Among the variety of power leased by the ALY were two Shawmut line Geeps, and one B&LE SD-9. On this day I found them being used together on the eastbound #WAJO train, providing for an interesting but difficult chase that started under clouds and snow. Further east though towards Johnsonburg, there was clearing sky making for this sunny shot. Looking at the branches on the front of the P&S 11, looks like the trip was also "interesting" for the crew.
